Denki looked up and Kyouka. She too had her eyes open. "C4 explosives," she whispered breathlessly. Denki nodded in return. They both slowly got up, collected their bags, and walked out the cafe, already having paid. Denki held his sword bag ready to spring into action. They had hung their shopping bags firmly on the strap of is school bag. They walked briskly to catch up to the figure. When they were within earshot, the slowed. Denki looked around. They were nearing the main atrium, just a few minutes away from the center, where many people were lounging about, gossiping, and watching their kids in the small play place. Dread grew on Denki, there were so many people in the blast radius. Students, commuters, parents, grandparents, and kids. The dread grew as Denki and Kyouka shadowed the figure. Everything became more clear to Denki, the air cold and crisp, the click of his shoes on tile floor, the shine of bright ceiling lights, the voices of the shoppers. His heart started to beat faster and faster. His breathing, more efficient and fast. The figure walked along, seemingly oblivious to his presence. Dread continued to grow each step he took, his heart beat faster and faster as the figure headed to the atrium. Children laughed in oblivious happiness, they did not know the danger. The parents, the commuters, the students. The pressure grew on him. If he did not stop this man, many people would not be able to wake up the next day. "What am I doing?" He thought frantically, "I can't handle this, too many people will die if i mess up."

A boy's laughter rang through the air. Denki glanced. The boy was being lifted by his father, pretending to fly like a superhero. His mother looked at them both, smiling as the laughing father made flying patterns in the air. The boy giggled with delight as he flew. Denki's eyes softened, breathing eased, fear erased for just a moment. He longed to be there, to have a father and mother, to be loved by parents.

"Then that's why I must stop this person,"

The thought rang in his head. Fear returned. His heart beat faster and faster. His breathing quickened. His eyes focused in on the target. He was scared, but scared that people might die if he did not move. He thought once more of the boy, the laughter and happiness. Then he thought of the affect of death, if his parents died, or worse, if the boy did. Dread set in. Denki wished to protect the boy, to see that the spark of life still showed after the bomber was dealt with. Denki started to walk faster, each step bring memories and thoughts. His young self crying. The graves of his family. The smile of a young boy. He continued to walk. His heart was beating faster and faster. The thud of the beat echoed in his body. His fast breathing echoed once more. The surroundings popped out. He steeled his nerves. The bomber took the escalator down to the atrium. Denki followed.

"People will die if I do not act,"

He was a few yards away, people separating him and his target. His blood pumped faster.

"I must protect the people's future,"

The ground floor neared, and Denki excused himself to get near the bomber. His heart beat wildly.

"I will be the hero needed,"

The two stepped off, Denki following the man close behind. Electricity ran though his veins, nerves peaking, feeling returning to his hands.

"I will protect that boy, no matter what,"

The man halted. Denki's heart stopped, he couldn't breathe.

"Hello, hero, come to save the day?" the man dropped his hood. It was a teenager, no older than him. "Of course, I didn't notice you until the escalator, but I knew someone would come." The young man turned around. A mop of jet black hair was swept from his face to reveal a broken smile.

The boy had tears in his eyes.

He dropped the hoodie.

Denki's heart stopped.

C4 lined the boy's body like a glove.

The screams of shock and fear from the crowd sounded so distant.

I'm really gonna die

Then he saw the boy and his family. His father shielded his wife and son from the inevitable. The boy's face was full of fear and confusion. He did to know what was going, that this was to be his last moment.

Denki moved with lighting speed. He drew his sword out of its bag and scabbard and raised it, tip to the ground.

"Energy Prison Technique: stage 4!" he screamed.

He plunged the tip as the teen was about to detonate the bombs. The sword stabbed the ground and a ripple of energy washed over them both.

The bomber was frozen. Denki left his sword still in the ground. He walked towards the bomber. He looked at a plate that was on the bomber's chest. He opened it, revealing wires. Denki could feel his control over the boy and the bomb waning. 1 minute. He looked at the red wire. He took a chance, he reached in. His heart was pounding wildly again, picking up speed sweat running down his forehead. He firmly grasped the wire.

He ripped it.

The control broke, and Denki braced as the boy clicked the detonator.

He held his breath, closed his eyes, and jumped out of the way.

No explosion. The boy dropped to his knees, crying rivers.

Denki exhaled sharply. He sat up, to see a shocked Kyouka sitting next to him. Silence, only broken by the bombers broken sobs.

A clap rang out. Then another, then more. He looked at Kyouka. She beamed at him, and he slowly smiled back. At this point, the atrium was filled with applause and cheers, relieved people cheering, hugging, embracing, sobbing. Denki looked at the boy. The boy stared at Denki beaming and grinning, the light of life still in his eyes. Denki smiled wider and gave him a thumbs up.

Kyouka led a shaking Denki to the ambulance where police officers and nurses were waiting.

"You were amazing, Denki,"

He looked at her.

"O-oh yeah, I-i guess so huh?" he replied.

"Yeah you were, you were so cool, like that sword move and then then the technique then then the disarming, you looked like a super hero spy thingy."

 Denki laughed at this.

"So I guess I'm a thingy now, huh?" he mocked her.

She flushed red, "Hey, shut up, I don't know ok?"

"Besides, Kaminari, you moved and did something productive, all I did was follow you guys and freeze." She looked down at this.

"No, don't be like that Jirou, you couldn't do anything," He reasoned with her. They had stopped, and Denki turned to Kyouka, cupped her face with is hands and lifted it to face his.

"You found out and got up to help without thinking, even if you couldn't do anything in the end. That's the makings of a true hero, going out to do the impossible even in the face of death." he stared intently into her eyes.

"Denki, you..." she whispered, trailing off. He let her face down.

"You came with me, which gave me courage to pursue him, and that's all that matters. You're a hero in my book,"

A/N Heyyyy everyone, so these past few chapters and more to come are gonna be connected and intertwined with each other,so be ready for that. Another thing, I get it, Denki got a buff because in my story, I gave him these powers to add to his arsenal. These are not canon just my creation, so don't go blowing up the comments saying he can;t do this in canon, ok? Thanks!! Maybe, I'll doa recap of all the new techniques and powers Kyouka and Denki develop in the story, reason being I feel that they should be more powerful as they're in a prestigious school and in 1-A. Without further adieu, stay notable and stay tuned for the next one :3
