♤Season 8, Episode 8♤
Angela laughs as Mark fails at flipping a pancake. He quickly squats down and starts picking up the spilled batter.
"For someone who knows how to cook, you suck at making pancakes," she shakes her head, taking over at the stove.
Mark wraps his arms around her waist from behind, taking a sip from her coffee, "Its hard. How is someone supposed to know if it's done or not?"
"You look at the bubbles, duh," Angela says, plating up some pancakes for them, "I can't go into work with you, I have a surgery with Yang in an hour."
"Whats the surgery?"
"Heart transplant. Nothing big, but Teddy is watching with Henry cause he wants to know more about what she does," Angela shrugs, quickly shoving food into her mouth before standing up and give Mark a kiss, "Bye, see you at work."
He nods, grabbing some bacon, "See ya."

Standing with Yang, Angela looks at the heart in a box as the resident is practically jumping in excitement, "This is so freaking cool."
She smiles, "I bet it never occurred to you to put this on your wish list. How's that coming by the way?"
Yang looks concerned as Angela keeps an eye on everything going on, "Why? Do you need it today? Because I can't- um, I'm not done."
"Relax. This is fun. A reward. If you need more time, that's fine. But step back so Teddy and Henry can see. T has been trying to find a good surgery for him to observe and then this came along," she rolls her eyes slightly, "How are we doing, Dr. Park?"
"Just a few more minutes, and my guy down at UCLA will have the heart he's been waiting on for over a year. Okay, let's roll," he hands Angela the heart that she quickly brings over to the box.
Angela reminds Yang, "Make sure that connection is secure. This tube connects directly to the aorta. And this tube removes waste."
As a phone rings, one of the nurses hands it to Dr. Park, "Dr. Park, your hosptials on the line."
The two cardio surgeons watch the heart in wonder, "She's about to catch a flight to LA without even knowing she's left the body."
"Damn it."
"Whats wrong?"
"My guy arrested. They weren't able to resuscitate," Park tells them before tearing off his mask and leaving.
Yang sighs, shrugging, "Its all dressed up, and no place to go."
Angela nods, "Like me in college."

Having gotten in touch with UNOS, Angela finally knows what to do and goes back to Yang to tell her what to do, "Columbia's got a good match, consent already given. Pick up is being arranged now but it will probably be hours before they arrive. Until then, you need to check up on the heart hourly."
Yang scoffs, "I thought we were past this. That's intern work."
"No. It's me trusting you. If I didn't have you, my ass would sit with her. But I have a capable resident in you who can take care of her by yourself. Use that time to finish your wish list. Remember, I'm only a page away," Angela smiles, handing her the chart.
