Chaeyoung has always envied ease with which her members talked to men. Coming from a girl's school as well as having strict regulations during trainee days about interaction with the opposite sex, she found it difficult to navigate through that.
And it seemed that Jungkook was having the same trouble. Sitting infront of him was the idol who's voice he has great admiration for. Everytime fans would catch him ogling at her when she was singing which made him the target of his hyungs constant teasing. In his defence, it was hard not be mesmerised. Her voice was unique and evoked the kind of emotion normally other voices won't. It was almost like she wants to make you feel every word she sang. And he got shy admitting to himself too but she was beautiful. Even sitting across him now sans the heavy makeup and elaborate costumes even in the simplest clothing, the girl was breathtaking.
Either of the idols didn't know how to start the conversation or break the ice. As they both took a seat behind the 7/11 in the seating area, they ate in silence. Not wanting to be rude and sending Chaeyoung's hesitation, Jungkook began a conversation.
"Do you come here often?"
She looked up startled. Her eyes widened, blush colouring her cheeks. After a while she did nod profusely still holding the bite in her cheeks which made them puffer up. Made her look like a chipmunk.
Aigoo, she's adorable.
"Yes whenever we have free days. How about you, Jungkook sunbaenim?" She eventually spoke in a shy voice.
"Yes me too. You don't have to be formal, Rosé-ssi. I've been told we're the same age."
She raised her eyes rows at that. Who had been talking to him about her?
He laughed at that expression realising what it sounded like. "Don't be creeped out. I'm friends with Bambam who is dating your member I believe?"
Realisation hit her. The 97 liner boy group was quite popular. It completely made sense now and it made the colour of her cheeks deepen due to embarrassment.
"You're right. I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions."She smiled apologetically.
"Don't be." Jungkook smiled at her.
"Well that would mean you can stop calling me with honorific as well."
"Very well Rosé. Do you have a korean name?"
"Yes. Park Chaeyoung."
What a beautiful name.
"Chaeyoung."
"Jungkook." They both smiled at each other and went back to finishing their meal.
While exiting the 7/11, Jungkook seemed relunctant to let Chaeyoung go. He wanted to get to know her more.
