"All those days watching from the window, All those years outside looking in, All that time never even knowing, Just how blind I've been."

Chaeyoung struggled with sleep since childhood. Her fans even now had noticed her odd instagram story uploading hours and commented on it quite often. What they didn't know was that the problem began way before she even realised it was one.
Nighttime had it's own thrills. Not being scared of dark and ghosts was definitely an advantage. She would stay up singing, playing her piano, reading a book or just staring at the ceiling. When sleep completely eluded her, there was only one cure.
Going on a drive.
She would always sneak into her parents bedroom at odd hours and wake up her dad. Her and her father would drive in the empty yet calming streets of Auckland and in later years Melbourne, stop by the port for fresh air and just talk about everything under the sun. The smell of the ocean, the breeze and mostly the freshness would finally make her have a deep slumber.
But now that she'd grown up, her father wasn't here to rescue her from the clutches of insomnia. He hadn't been ever since she chose to move to South Korea. It didn't help that artists weren't allowed to get licenses either. Jennie had somehow managed but she lacked the courage. Granted they were driven wherever they wanted to go, but the dependence on one person was a constant source of dilemma.
"Where did you learn to drive?" She asked as she turned to look at Jungkook who's face was concentrated as he looked at the traffic.
"My dad, brother, Jin hyung and Suga hyung, sometimes Hobi hyung, the manager, I'd just grab anyone who was available and ask them to teach me. It's something that's always fascinated me and I do love cars." He said he passed a smile recollecting memories of his driving lesson. He wanted to look at her face so badly but couldn't risk an accident.
"You're lucky. We're not allowed to."
"At all?"
She shook her head. "No. They say it's for our own safety. But it seems nice to have one thing to do on your own."
"I've never understood the no driving rule." Jungkook admitted. "I get it if they don't want us to drive after schedules when we are tired but otherwise it doesn't make sense."
"Maybe it's their way of knowing our constant whereabouts."
"Maybe. But that just seems like we're in a jail."
"We kind of are." Rosé sighed.
"What other restriction do y'all have?"
"Oh the usual. No smoking, getting tattoos, dating etc. Though those have been the same since trainee days."
