"Chae what's wrong?" Jungkook asked in a mildly panicked voice as his girlfriend on the other side of the phone hiccuped and sobbed. Never in his life has he felt so confused and helpless.

"He.." She stutters as she collects words between the gasps, "loved.. her." She continued to breathe out and as tears fell down her cheeks, "so much." Then she bawled out on the phone after being unable to express and feeling slightly embarrassed about how this was progressing.

"Who loved whom, baby?" His exhausted brain came up with no context as he searched for some memory or some conversation which could tell him what was happening.

Jungkook sat in his hotel room a few 1000 miles away from her crossed legged on the bed, holding the phone tighter to his ears, starting to feel mildly emotional himself. It has always been difficult for him to watch people cry. He sat there lightly switching between massaging his forehead then shifting his hand to his leg pressing down his weight on the bed.

He looked at the ceiling as he started to feel worse and worse. Contemplating in options between messaging Jennie and asking if something had happened and calling Jin hyung of what to do in situations like these, racking his brain for answers and coming up with none. So he settled on the next best thing. He settled on the only option he knew that calms him down.

He sang.

He sang Euphoria for her. She had previously confessed it was her favourite song, and knowing she shared a similar relationship with music like him, he sang the song like it was meant for her.

Chaeyoung's sobs subsided slowly with surprise as she realised what was happening. It was like having her own personal concert from her boyfriend.  Her eyes widened slowly, the embarrassment of the situation dawning on her as the song almost ended.

She was extremely quite as she heard him go silent too. "I believe that calmed you down." He sighed in relief.

"You sang for me." She muttered.

"Yes." He said slowly.

"You sang for me to calm me down." She muttered again.

"Yes." He was getting more confused. It's the only solution his brain came up with. Was it a bad idea?

"Like I'm a toddler."

"Well.. you are my baby?" He said unsure if that was the right way or the right thing to say. Where was Jimin when you needed him?
