We continued to walk through the creepy school looking for June as we did. "Why is it so dark in here" I said while squinting my eyes, trying to see better. "Aren't there supposed to be windows in school" I asked while groaning in frustration.
Not even a second later I could suddenly see better. I looks behind us to see Quint with Christmas lightens wrapped around him. 'He's such a dork' I said to myself as I smiled.
"Ha Ha, you look like the world's lamest Christmas tree" Dirk said while laughing his head off. I smirk but elbow Dirk hard in the stomach, making Dirk crumple down onto the floor. Which just makes me smirk harder.
"Sorry, old habit" Dirk mumbled while he was on the floor holding his stomach. "Another Quint co-invention" Quint said as he proudly showed us his dorky vest. It was quiet for a little while because it seemed like Quint was having some kind of inner dialog.
Jack seemed to know what was happening with Quint because he snapped him out of it and said "not now Quint, later".
Quint seemed a little sad so I said "You can show me your inventions after we've done heroic June rescuing" with a smile. Quint seemed to glow back up again and replied with a "good idea".
"Cmon boys lets get a move on, I want to find June as quickly as possible so we can get home" I said as I drew my sword from its sheath.

"It doesn't look like anybody's been here for a long time" Dirk said while looking around nervously. "Sorry Jack, she's probably long gone by now" Dirk said genially sad. "We knew it was a long shot" Quint said until we all heard a loud bang. "Did you guys hear that" I said with my sword raised in the air ready.
"I heard, I heard" Quint said while shaking in fear. I narrowed my eyes and looked around the corner. I looked and saw a rattling handle behind a door with a big red X on it. "It's coming from the teacher's lounge" Dirk said as the banging got louder. "I always wondered what went on in there" Jack said as he got closer.
"Guys we should go, I don't have a good feeling about this" I said as I started slowly walking backward. I carefully grabbed Link and placed him in my backpack. "Link stay in here for now, I want you safe if something bad happens" I whispered to him as I gave him a kiss on his little head.
He gave me a little nod and settled down in the backpack. I placed my bag with Link in it back on my back and held my sword in front of me.
"You know they have their own couch and 3D printer, a car wash, and microwave" Quint listed off. But then Jack started reaching toward the door handle. "Jack I'm telling you don't open that door" I yelled.
But before Jack can even open the door, a huge ball of zombies come crashing out of the door.
"No one ever listens to me" I mumble as we all start to run away.
