"Here on your day off?" I looked up at my co-worker who was taking our orders.

"He likes it here." I smiled, looking at my son who sat next to me, drawing on the provided children menu.

"And you get a discount?" he asked and I nodded.

"I'll just have this one for me, and a small of this one for him. For drinks, water is fine for me and he'll get some apple juice." I ordered and my co-worker quickly jotted everything down before going to go prepare our food.

"Mommy look!" I looked at his messily colored menu, and smiled seeing how in some places it seemed he tried to stay in the lines.

"Isn't that a pretty plane?" I asked, holding the picture in my hand.

"Planes are fun! Fwoom!" he made a flying motion with his hands.

"Do you like planes?" I turned around in surprise at the sudden voice and recognized it to be Tim Drake, a regular customer and an old classmate from High School.

"Stranger danger." I heard my son whisper as he hid his face behind his colored menu.

I couldn't help but laugh and pet his head. "Monkey, this is an old friend of Mommy's. His name is Tim." I introduced them.

"Your name is Monkey?" Tim asked, asking my son.

"No, mommy calls me Monkey!" he said, "My name is (boy name)!" he said proudly.

"Well, that is a very nice name. I'll tell you a secret, I have a brother named Dick." he whispered.

"Wha- really?" My little Monkey asked and Tim just nodded.

"And, my other brother, he has a pet cow, and two dogs." Tim said, crouching down to (boy name)'s height.

"Two dogs?! We don't even have one!" he stared at Tim with such curiosity.

"The cow doesn't seem to faze you huh?" I thought seeing his eyes sparkle at the thought of two dogs.

"Mommy let's get a dog!" He looked at me.

"Maybe when you're older buddy." I said, seeing our food arriving.

"Can he eat with us? PLease!" he asked me, tugging my arm.

"Well, ask Tim if he wants to." I told him and he nodded.

"Can you sit with us Mr. Tim?" he asked.

"Well, I have no plans. Also, just call me Tim." he sat across from us.

Tim ordered his own food and (boy name) began munching on the side of complimentary fries. "Mommy, more ketchwup please." He pointed to the ketchup bottle.

"Don't eat too much of that." I told him, putting some more ketchup in his little plate.

"Okai." he said while chewing his fries.

I sighed, wiping the corner of his mouth with a napkin. "He's grown a lot." Tim told me.

"Last time you saw him.. was when he was born, right?" I asked and he nodded.

"He looks like his dad." Tim whispered so only I could hear.

"Agreed. Hopefully he's smarter than him though." I smiled and Tim laughed in response.

"With you raising him, he'll turn out just fine." he told me.

"Are you shawing secrets without me?" My little monkey asked me chewing on the straw of his apple juice.

"Secrets? Never." I responded. "Do you want some dessert?" I asked him.

"Ice cream!" he cheered.

"If you finish your apple juice, I will get you some ice cream." I told him and he nodded.

"If I finish a juice box, can I also have some ice cream?" Tim asked me.

"If you improve your flirting, then yes." I told him and he just shrugged.

"Whats flirting?" (boy name) asked looking up at me.

"It's something Mr. Tim is very bad at." I told him and he nodded staring at Tim.

The three of us were now walking through a park. Just to exercise all the sugar out of his body. "How are things?" I asked Tim.

"What things specifically?" he asked me.

"Nightly work." I said and he nodded, understanding.

"The same as always, nothing life threatening or world changing has happened." he told me.

"Thats nice." I said and he smiled, nodding.

"Are you ever going to tell him?" he asked me.

"You mean how every night I used to jump from roof top to roof top fighting crime and stuff? Probably not. That's behind me." I said, watching (boy name) chasing a bird. "Retirement is fun, and working a regular job is kind of.. annoying. Especially customer service." I sighed.

"There's always a spot at Wayne Ent. for you, if you ever want it back." he said.

"Ah yes, my old secretary job. The pay was better, but the hours at my current job are better for me right now. Ask me again when he goes to.. middle school and we'll see." I told him and he nodded.

"Thanks for walking us home." I looked at Tim.

"My pleasure." Tim said, passing the sleeping child to me.

He woke up a little but quickly went back to sleep. "I think he doesn't hate me." Tim said.

"He doesn't hate you, that's for sure." I smiled, patting his back.

"So, then I will get going... If you ever need a baby sitter, or if he wants to meet the dogs, or the cow.. or anything feel free to ask." Tim said as I held my keys.

"I'll be sure to inform you." I smiled.

"I'm also free for... dates... if you want." he said and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Flirting, work on it." I said and he nodded.

"I'll let you know if I'm free for dates." I said and he attempted to hide his flushed face in the scarf around his neck.

"Good night then." he quickly waved and left in a hurry.
