Jory had decided to continue this adventure with the two adventurer, after all he was never made for the tranquil and calm life in his cottage. Right now he was waiting outside a small shop, the day was clear and sunny, warm even. His hat hide the most of his face as he was resting against the shop wall, inside he could hear the two adventurer negotiating with the shopkeeper, suddenly Eleon started to scream "SOLD!!! What do you mean you sold it?!" Jory sighed and turned his gaze to the shimmering sea. It was the perfect day to take sail for faraway cost and yet something was telling him that the departure had been delayed by at least a day.
They had left the previous city with the sewer and for the last five day they had been restless trying to reach Jeliantep faster. Naturally the first thing they did upon arrival in the coastal city was to immediately fall asleep in the first inn they found and indulge themselves a drink then they were back at it again. It seemed to the halfling that the two adventurers had well prepared their travel, buying things in advance and making sure to have all their affair in order before they left for uncertain futurs.
Jeliantep was a busy city, even in winter, there was people everywhere making it difficult to go from one point to another, carriage where everywhere too, full of goods and passengers, all the inns were full and when they weren't yet full the rooms were overpriced, so much that even Eleon didn't want to pay. Jory had discovered that Eleon was filthy rich, even for an elf it was suspicious. Speaking of the devil Eleon came out of the shop looking depressed and defeated.
"What is the matter?"
"The Shopkeeper sold the item we had booked!" he said heartbroken Qa looked thoughtful
"That kind of behaviour is inadmissible but the problem is worse than that, without that item all this loose it's meaning, the compass was extremely important!" he continued
"Well then what shall we do?"
"We are going to steal it back naturally!" Eleon had stars in his pink eyes
"That sound stupidly dangerous" said Qa with his habitual emotionless voice
"But we just so happen to know someone who is a genius in this line of skills" they both turned to Jory who crossed his arms
"There is just no way"
"Come on, aren't you supposed to be a virtuoso in breaking and entering?" Qa stayed resolutly silent
"That was a long time ago, I must have gotten rusty, Qa tell him that it's not a good idea" the man sighed
"It is our only option"
"Exactly ! Wait what..." Eleon and Jory were surprised that he agreed to the elf's plan
"It is really our last option, we don't have time to convince its new owner to sell it back"
"Alright then come with me to the inn, we better get a plan ready!"
And even though they got a plan ready, a plan which was a masterpiece, though by a mastermind it failed horribly, it got derailed exactly 5 second after they entered the mansion. Eleon and his faint glowing skin got in front of some unknown artefact and the light was multiplied until it became blinding, Qa quickly closed all the heavy curtains but a guard was woken up. Jory knocked him out with an old helmet but the metal made such a loud noise that it alerted many guards, they found the still glowing artefact and their co-worker on the ground and, adding two and two understood that someone had broke in.
The three adventurers had already left the scene and were now hiding under a table, the heavy clothe hide them but it was just a matter of time before one of the guard went to look at it more closely. With the helmet still in hand Jory got ready to knocked someone else unconscious. Eleon thought of Jaina and her magical flute and found himself regretting that she had to leave. Sure enough one of the guard came to look under the clothe.
