The war started for the smallest reason possible. When the king Julian refused that his daughter Eleanor marry the emperor's Kenneth son, Milo, the two young people ran away together. Later discovering that their children were missing they accused each other of having kidnapped them. The princess changed her name to Valliant and the prince cut his hair. Together they rode away to the western part of the continent, the Land of the free could welcome them, there they could start a new life.

Accusations upon accusations the rulers become more and more hateful of the other, forgetting past friendship and alliances, one treaty falling with another one following in its way. The people worry, the peace they all cherished seems to be looking worse by the day. Lords and dukes call for calm and try to appease the tensions but the fire is growing fiercely to one day swallow the continent.

Unable to find the children the two ruler declared war on each other, in the span of two month more than twelve thousand of soldiers had been called to the battlefield, the border becoming a marsh of blood and dead body. The horrors of the war however would become almost invisible the deeper you went into each country. The empire called more soldiers to the battlefield, sure that their victory is only a question of time. Blinded by confidence both the actors fail to see their mistake.

Where our story starts, however, is close to the border, in the kingdom of Sivion. A battle is happening and both sides are fighting for a wonderful cause, more justified than the war raging right next to them.
