Carina ended the call with Tony and headed for the door.
"Arrivo!" She yelled to be heard as she hurriedly slipped on her heels. (I'm coming!)
She didn't know why she got so dressed up to go out with Daniele, maybe because after months she was finally going on a real date or maybe because as always her narcissistic side came out. She looked at herself one last time in the mirror at the entrance and opened the door.
"Ciao" he said, smiling,
"Ciao" she smiled.
"Sei stupenda" he said looking at her from head to toe. (You're gorgeous)
"Grazie" she said smiling "Anche tu non sei male" (You're not bad either)
The two went down the stairs of the building and when they arrived in front of his car, he opened the door for her.
"Grazie" she smiled and got into the car. As soon as he got in, he too started the car, and they left.
"Dove mi porti?" She asked. (Where are you taking me?)
"In un posticino poco fuori Bologna" (In a nice place just outside Bologna)
"Sembra promettente" she said making him smile happily. (Sounds promising)
"Ci vorrà un po' di tempo, quindi parlarmi di te Carina" He said, looking at her for a moment and then looking back at the road. ("It'll take some time, so tell me about yourself Carina)
"Che cosa vuoi sapere?" (What do you want to know?)
"Tutto quello che sei disposta a dirmi su di te" he shrugged, making her smile. (Everything you're willing to tell me about yourself)
"Beh, ho diciannove anni e sono venuta a Bologna per studiare, tra poco mi laureerò in scienze statistica" (Well, I'm nineteen and I came to Bologna to study, I'll soon be graduating in Statistical Sciences)
"Aspetta cosa! Ti laurei in un solo anno?!" He asked surprised. (Wait what! Do you graduate in just one year?!)
"Possiamo dire che sono una specie di genio" she shrugged. (We can say I'm some kind of genius)
"E lo dice come se fosse una cosa da nulla" (And she says it like it's nothing)
"Beh, non è la prima volta che mi laureo" she shrugged. (Well, it's not the first time I've graduated)
"E ne parli come se nulla fosse! Non puoi sganciare una bomba del genere così all'improvviso e comportarti come se stessi parlando che ne so, di una raccolta di figurine" he shook his head "Carina, stai parlando con una mente inferiore che rischia di essere bocciato per la seconda volta in quarta superiore" (And you talk about it like it's nothing! You can't drop a bomb like that so suddenly and act like you're talking like I don't know, about a sticker collection. Carina, you're talking toan inferior mind who's in danger of failing twelfth grade for the second time)
