"Every single hardship in life is made so as to bring you closer to your Lord"
It does sound familiar yet its the truest truth
We want to gain that closeness yet we fear what brings us to it
We want to pick the fruit from the tree yet we don't want to climb the ladder that brings us to it.
Do we expect our Lord to shake the fruit off to us with a gentle wind?
Yes...
Wouldn't that be easier?
But are we deserving of this?
Yes...
We all are
Yet the feelings of strength and resolve we build by climbing up,
The feeling of pride at overcoming our fears
And savoring the victory of reaping the benefits
Is dearer to My Lord, then easing us into laziness with a gush of wind
Yet those times do come too
When we lose the will to eat that apple all together,
When we're being whiny at the mere scrap of our hand to the tree's bark
Those times do come too
When my Lord swings that apple from its tree
