"Damnit!" Violet shouts, angrily shutting her laptop lid.
Alicia appears outside Violet's door, curious what her daughter is so mad at. "Everything okay, mija?"
"My computer isn't working." Violet huffs. "I guess I'm going to Tech Town during free period today."
"Okay, well I gotta go to work." Alicia throws her purse on her shoulder. "Try not to spend too much money on your computer, okay?"
"Violet nods. "Okay. Love you mama."
"Love you too, mija." Alicia says.
Violet gets ready quickly and begrudgingly starts her drive to school, still annoyed at her computer not working. She glances up at Daniel's billboard as she always does, but her jaw drops when she sees that someone drew a dick in Daniel's mouth.
"Oh shit." she laughs slightly, unable to help herself. Daniel doesn't have to know she laughed.
When she gets to school, she meets with Aisha in the parking lot so she doesn't have to walk in alone after the video at the dance. As soon as they enter the school people start making pig noised at them and shouting out names. Aisha keeps her head down, not wanting to look at anybody while Violet holds her head up high, trying to be strong for her best friend.
As the girls stand at Aisha's locker, they're approached by none other than Sam. "Hey. How are you feeling?" she asks.
"I've gone viral. How do you think I am?" Aisha snaps.
"They're mean, but they have short memories. They'll forget." Sam assures.
"Yeah? Well I'm not gonna forget." Aisha slams her locker shut and takes off for her class.
"'How are you feeling?' Really?" Violet asks, giving Sam a look.
"I was just-" Sam starts, but Violet interrupts.
"Why are you friends with them, Sam? I mean really, why?" Violet asks. "Your dad's right, this isn't like you. You've never cared about popularity before and now you're throwing your best friends, who have been loyal to you for years, away for it."
"No, I-"
"Save it." Violet interrupts again. "Don't talk to me unless it's the real Sam." she snaps, then takes off after Aisha.

Upon entering Tech Town during her free period from school, Violet's eyes widen and her heart drops to her stomach when she sees who's at the front counter.
