Rival: No Time For Us

"It's so bright out today." Her manager only nodded his head and waited for her usual routine.

Jisoo spent minutes trying to get the perfect picture to post on her story before they could leave again.

"What's so special about the sky?" He asked as she saw her stare at the picture.

"The feeling of happiness occurs when I look at clouds on the blue sky without me knowing the reason."

"I don't know. I like looking at the sky." He quietly nodded and continued to drive.

The model went back to posting the perfect pictures on her Instagram.

It's Jisoo's only attempt to make her happy without being able to see her anymore.

Their arrival at the company was dreaded. Jisoo sat through the usual meeting with new designers. Ones that were being pushy and didn't seem to like their staff's favouritism towards Jisoo.

Of course, every person who was able to establish themselves in the industry was highly respected and equally disrespected.

Right now, DIOR refused to back down from pushing forward their winter campaign with Jisoo as their global ambassador at the request of their CEO even with their competition trying to convince them otherwise.

"We're just trying to compromise as to our superior's orders."

"There is nothing of our benefit and we're politely refusing." The CEO gave Jisoo a small nod. They weren't going to let her efforts go to waste so easily.

"Chanel plans to launch our winter campaign in two weeks. Our dates are clashing. This won't be good for your business. Just accept to push it back and we will offer some control." Chanel staff seemed to be running low on patience.

"Our campaign was inspired and designed specifically for Jisoo. It's all set. We will not be pushing anything back for your convenience."

"She's just a product!" Their patience was lost and Jisoo's high hold wasn't going to be budging soon.

"Ma'adamoiselle Jisoo, is our newest global ambassador. She is an established and highly respected model and you will treat her as such."

"You're going to regret this. We would've been a strong ally to DIOR." He threatened back.

"Did you forget you're the competition?" Jisoo scoffed at his unnerving threat. It's all he's been doing since the beginning of the meeting and she was getting tired.

"Following Jisoo's words," The CEO grinned at her. "We would like to remind you once again we will be launching the first campaign inspired after one of our ambassadors for the first time whether you like it or not."

"This isn't over."

"Be sure to check it out." He smiled as they started leaving.

It seemed the meeting was over after all.

Once the room was only filled with their staff, Jisoo saw everyone groan in annoyance.

"The nerve to step in here and demand we push it back for their convenience!"

"I thought we were about to have a revolutionary collaboration opportunity between two high end brands but as usual they insisted on hasty decisions."

Jisoo watched everyone complain as if this was their norm.

"Does this happen often?" She asked her manager who only shrugged.

"Well, not often," Their CEO seemed to have heard her. Silence filled the room as they awaited his response. "Only when they're planning to drop all their ambassadors on a single campaign."

"It's a collaboration among the company. Ambassadors that have represented the brand will be posing with each other. The usual marketing technique. Everyone loves seeing their favourites together.

"It might be a risk but we will be launching your solo campaign as planned. There is no change in that." He firmly stated. "Believe me when I say, they will push it back in our favour."

Jisoo was amazed at his confidence to the point even her self doubts weren't bothering her.

The meeting was quickly dismissed and she was handed her schedule for the next month.

In the dimly lit car light, Jisoo skimmed over her next programs. She was about to get to the largely bold letters when her manager interrupted her.

"Ready for Paris Fashion Week?"

"Already?" She exclaimed in her forgetfulness. "We have months ahead of us."

"You won't realize how fast time moves once you're lost in your shoots and promotions."

And he was right. Jisoo didn't even realize her own campaign had been launched. Her success party even came as a surprise.

She was brooding in the corner as she watched everyone enjoy the party.

"Did you offer to be the DD for someone, young lady? Or are you just this boring?" He chuckled at the way Jisoo's eyes widened at the comment.

"But I must remind you, I kept my promise."

"Promise?" Jisoo furrowed her brows as she softly smiled.

He nodded affirmatively. "Chanel pushed their launch back. It seems they'll release it a day before the beginning of Paris Fashion Week."

"I see." Jisoo couldn't care less.

"Come on, I have someone that I would like to introduce you to." He offered his hand high for Jisoo to take. Still a gentleman as ever even in his tipsy state.

She giggled as he twirled her around across the dance floor and dropped her off at another table.

"This is our newest model, Hong Soo-"

"Jooya!" Jisoo was elated to meet one of her best friends after such a long period.

"I believe you have already been acquitted with each other." He raised his brows at her, waiting for an explanation.

"I've practically known Soojoo since I was born. She's one of my best friends!" Jisoo was squealing in excitement.

He chuckled at her in admirance. "I see. It seems it takes high physical attributes to own your friendship."

"What was it that they called it in the Kpop industry?" He waved his hand in front of his face. "Ahh, yes. The visual! It takes very high visuals to be a friend of Kim Jisoo!"

"It's none of that." She rolled his eyes and he continued to tease the young ladies. He excused himself to let the two ladies enjoy their little reunion.

The night was still young and Jisoo spent time getting through to everyone that wanted to meet her. Her only regret was not spending time with the one she wanted to meet.

On their way back home, Jisoo stared at the ring on her finger. The only memory she could take of them everywhere
