Chapter 7

"If you agree to play my game, and you win, I'll make all 3 of you Hunters on the spot", Netero said mischievously.

"Killua, we should totally do this!", Gon answered excitedly.

"I guess", Killua responded, clearly thinking he would easily win.

"Alrighty then!", Netero exclaimed.

Netero led them to a training room as Kalen followed silently.

"The game we're playing is simple, you all have 9 hours to take this ball from me. I won't fight back or touch any of you at all.", Netero explained smiling.

It sounded pretty easy but Kalen had already figured that Netero could maybe move 30 meters so quickly that no one would be able to see him. Therefore, the only way he could probably win was if he cheated and used his Nen. Again.

Both Killua and Gon tried countless times. Though they had gotten pretty close, Killua ended up getting frustrated and left. Gon tried until he managed to get Netero to use his other hand, then he toppled over and  fell asleep right then and there.

Then it was only Kalen and Netero left conscious in the room.

"Would you like to give it a go?", Netero asked after telling the ship's captain to fly a bit slower.

"It would would a bit too easy for me", Kalen smirked.

"You shouldn't underestimate someone because their age," Netero said, continuing to grin.

"Fine then. Keep in mind that you asked for this, it might not feel too nice", Kalen said, walking towards where Netero was standing.

Kalen reached out his hand and curled in his fingers, gaining control over Netero's blood before simply saying, "Give me the ball", and Netero obediently handed it over.

"See, I told you it would be too easy," Kalen smiled in a   sweet but erie way and dropped the ball on the ground. He left the room without saying a word, nor becoming a Hunter.

Kalen's Nen Ability : Blood Flow

Overall, the ability isn't very original but it's relatively easy to understand. Basically, he can manipulate the blood of anything with the slightest bit of blood in it.

He can order someone to do something verbally, after gaining control of their blood, or he can just physically manipulate them like a puppet. If he verbally tells the person or thing to do something they will do it naturally without thinking that they aren't doing it out of their own free will. For example, if he tells someone to kill someone else they will do it thinking that its the right thing to do. 

There are a few restrictions to his ability though. If it's a living human then Kalen has to have spoken to that person at least once and that person has to have spoken to him at least one time in order to give verbal commands. Once those conditions are fulfilled, he can manipulate that person anywhere at anytime. Even if they aren't in the same country. But he can still manipulate anyone just using their blood but it takes more of his Nen and more strength. Though he can't control the person as well as he would if the conditions were fulfilled.

Another thing he can use this ability for is enhancing his own physical abilities. For example he can make himself move faster or punch people harder. He can also use it for healing but it's not really his main focus.

Also, he can give multiple orders to multiple different living things or people at the same time but it would take up more Nen because he has to use his Nen until they finish carrying out the order.

Another drawback is that he can get extremely nauseous and dizzy if he overuses his ability or uses it on too many different things at once. It can get so bad that he occasionally just passes out.
