chapter six

August 15th
Sams pov

I woke up to my throat killing me, i groaned. Rolling over to check my phone. 'No notifications.' I sighed, i got up and stretched a bit.. I got changed into a baby blue long sleeve with a short black skirt. I threw on my sneakers and headed downstairs to my dad.

"Hey kiddo, want some breakfast? I can whip you up something." My dad shouted. "No thanks.. Not that hungry." I sat at the table, sipping on a bottle apple juice. "Are you sure?? I made some eggs, you can have the rest.." My dad sighed.

"Sure." I told him, i just wanted to get to school really.. He smiled, sitting the eggs on the table. "There ya go darlin." I nodded, "Thank you.."

I tried to eat my eggs quickly, just needed to see Deena. Well- not technically but i just missed her. And i decided to ride the bus today, Deena always rode it.. I finished my eggs, putting them in the sink. "I have to go dad, i'm gonna be late." I told him.

"You don't want me to drive you?" He asked, "No..Gonna ride the bus today." I grabbed my bag. "Okay, have a good day honey." He waved. I nodded and walked out my house. The bus came just on time.

I got on the bus, excited.. I looked around Deena was nowhere to be seen. I sighed. I sat alone and just looked out the window until i got to school. I waited for everyone else to get off and i got off last. I sighed and looked around the school, trying to at least see Deena sometime today.

I finally had spotted my target and saw Deena walking with Kate and the new girl.. I bit my bottom lip. I don't know why i got so mad at her and i didn't even know the girl.. I watched them walk in until Deena saw me, she had her lips parted and looked down.

I sighed, i walked to my locker. Trying to not think of anything today and to just focus. We had exams today in 1st period, Deena was in mine.. So i am definitely gonna fall this test. I was opening my locker until someone picked me up from behind.

I gasped and it was Cole. He started laughing and i sighed, "That's not funny!" I playfully hit him. "You love it though." I rolled my eyes, he hugged me and i felt him squeezing my ass. I slightly pushed him, "Hey cmon now.. Stop." He backed away, confused. "What the fuck?? I can't touch you now? God your such a bitch." He shouted.

Everyone was staring. "Cole- It's not that big of a deal.. I can't do this shit." I shook my head, putting my things away and getting my binder. He attacked my neck, kissing on it. I pushed him again. "Leave me alone." "Fine.. Remember that." I walked away and tried to not let his bullshit take me over, everyone continued doing what they were doing.

I finally arrived to first period, sighing of relief. I sat down and looked around, Deena wasn't here yet.. She was always the first one. Strange..

I heard giggling and looked at the door, it was Deena and new girl outside talking, they hugged and the new girl walked away. Deena waved and smiled coming in the classroom.

The tables where set up one against one for the exam, everyone had assigned seats. "Deena J, welcome.. Look for your name at one of the tables." Our administrator told her, she nodded and looked around for her name. I looked across from me to see who was seating at the chair in front of me.

Deena was. Of course.. i wasn't complaining though. I looked down once she got over here, she stood there for a second and sighed. Sitting down. I looked up slowly, and she was paying attention to her computer. I bit the side of my bottom lip.

I hesitated and got out a piece of paper,

'Julien. Open your email.' I folded the paper, "Pst!" She looked at me, confused. I handed her the paper under the table, i pointed down with my head. She furrowed her eyebrows and looked down, i felt the paper leave my hands.

She read the piece of paper, looking at her computer.

I opened up my email, 'Hi.' I texted her. She read it quickly, typing. 'Uh..Hi?' I hesitated, i looked at her and she was already staring at me, i sighed. 'Can we uh.. Talk later?' I asked. 'Why? There's nothing we need to talk about.' She replied instantly. 'Please..' It took her a few minutes to respond, i heard her sigh.

'Sure. When.' She asked. I licked my lips, 'Bleachers.. After school?' I asked, hesitating. She didn't say anything but sent me a thumbs up emoji. I nodded, i decided to finally began my exam. Me and Deena didn't talk at all, which i found shocking..

We just made eye contact here and there.. we finally finished our exam and the bell rang, i was sure i failed it.. But i didn't even get to say bye to Deena. She sprinted out the door, i tried to keep up and i saw her walking with that girl again. I frowned.

I decided to skip second period, i went to the bathroom and locked myself in one of the stalls. I sat down and layed my head on my lap, i began to cry. Even though i was the one who created all of this, i lost her so so quickly.. And it was all my fault.

I tried to keep quiet, i got out my phone and opened instagram. I searched up her account and looked at her pictures, her most recent showed up. It was her, Kate and the new girl.. Tabitha? I never head of that name.. They were posing and eating ice cream. I tapped on the picture and Tabitha was tagged.

I decided to check her account, her pictures were darling. She was so pretty.. Way prettier than me. She posted so many pictures with Deena.. I sighed. Deena looked so so happy, i clenched my jaw. I put my phone away and put my hairs through my hair, clenching my fists.

I stopped crying when i heard someone come in. I wiped my tears and knew i was probably in trouble. I got up, flushed the toilet and opened my stall, the person who came in was in the stall.. I waited to see who it was. I washed my hands and the girl came out.

It was Tabitha. I looked at her through the mirror, she slowly walked to the sink. "Hi.." She said softly. I scoffed, "Hi." She looked down, then back at me, "Your sam right?" I looked at her. "How?-" She nodded, "Deena told me.." I shook my head, "Of course she did." She turned off the sink, "I head many things about you." She told me.

I turned to her, "Really? Good things?" I smiled sarcastically. "Not really.. But i know you genuinely are a loyal person." She smiled softly. I furrowed my eyebrows, "I know what your up to. Trying to take Deena away from me huh? Well I'm sorry to burst your bubble but she's already taken." I told her, angrily.

"Why are you jumping to so many conclusions?.. We are just friends. And aren't you the one who dumped her for your dumb ass boyfriend who beaten her to death?" She asked. I clenched my jaw. "Yeah, i know a lot about you. And i have a boyfriend.. So, just a suggestion. Maybe learn how to be a good person, and not a fucked up bitch." She smiled. She dried her hands
and walked out.
