Metro City Correctional Facility
"You're free, your highness," napakunot-noo naman si Amalia dahil sa sinabi jail warden matapos nitong buksan ang selda niya. She followed the man as they walked towards the visiting area of the facility. Ilang linggo din siyang ikinulong sa lugar na iyon. At sa mga panahong iyon, wala na siyang balita tungkol sa nangyayari sa labas.
And being isolated and just alone in a cell, gave her more than crazy thoughts—her tyrant older brother, the association, the people and Sylas.
Before she got arrested, she saw Sylas being gunned down by her older brother's royal guards. She was crying every night knowing they killed Sylas... the only man that she loves in her life.
Nang nasa visiting area na siya ay iniwan kaagad siya ng jail warden. She was confused at what was happening and even more when the warden didn't even handcuff her hands. Her eyes roamed around the place until her gaze stopped at a very familiar person standing a few meters away from her.
"K-Kuya..." Her voice was trembling. She wasn't expecting her brother—the full-blooded one, was standing in the same room with her. Ilang taon na rin niyang hindi ito nakita. From the looks of it now, Phaedron Lukas didn't change a bit.
"Amalia," Phaedron uttered her name. "I'm sorry that I'm late." He said and Amalia shook her head as tears began to fall down from her face. She immediately ran towards her brother and hugged him. He embraced her back.
"I'm sorry..." He mumbled. "Sorry if ngayon lang ako nakabalik dito. I shouldn't have left you here all alone... I shouldn't have left you to suffer."
Amalia just kept crying as she held more into her brother's embrace. She missed her brother so much. He was the only family member who genuine cares for her. Not even her own mother, not even her father... It was only Phaedron Lukas who paid attention to her while she was growing.
"Kuya, they've killed Sylas. They've killed my friend, Kuya... They killed him. I saw it. I saw it in my two eyes." She said while sobbing. "Kuya Madrid is a monster... He's a monster."
She always had thought Madrid Anselmo still a good heart despite the atrocities that he did to their country... but the moment when she witnessed herself the royal guards killing mercilessly Sylas in front of her—what the people think about him was true after all. The King is a monster.
"Amalia, listen to me," Phaedron freed himself from their hug, holding both of her arms—to make her face him. "He's alive. Atty. de Luca is alive and well."
