Ortiz de Rozaz palace
"Your majesty," the palace maid curtsied and Sofia Elena stood up from her seat. She was currently inside the East Wing of the palace's living room. Fia nodded at the maid to make her continue. She smiled, too.
"The guests have arrived."
Kaagad pumasok sa loob ang mga ito. Fia smiled widely even more when she saw her friends finally.
"Your majesty," Atty. Sylas de Luca called her first and bowed his head as curtsy. Fia giggled at what he did as she went near to him. Beside him was Princess Amalia.
"You're being silly as always, Attorney," Fia uttered and gave the man a quick hug. Amalia curtsied next.
"Ate Fia," Amalia also gave her a hug.
"Amalia, thank you," Fia told her sincerely. Ang alam niya, Atty. de Luca and Amalia are now officially together.
"Anything for this family," Amalia replied, smiling. Next, Fia greeted the three members of her council.
"Lady Zuñiga," she called the lady and Lady Zuñiga paid her curtsy. "Sir Montez."
Sir Richard Montez bowed his head. "At your service, your majesty."
"Gonzalo," Fia smiled and nodded at the old man—Gonzalo Martin, who has been working for royal family for decades already.
"Your grace," Gonzalo bowed his head as well, saying the words fondly.
"Gonzalo, thank you, too," she said as she gave him a hug too. The next person she saw almost made her cry.
"Ria," she went to her friend and gave her a tight hug. Ria also embraced her tightly, compensating for the eight years of without seeing each other.
"Thank you, Sofia," her best friend whispered, closing her eyes. They freed themselves.
"I am happy and relieved that you are here with me now, Ria. I am sorry if I couldn't save Damien for you..." she replied, regretful. Ria squeezed her hands, assuring her.
"Even though my husband isn't here anymore, you still had saved him... you saved this country."
She smiled warmly, overwhelming by too much emotions, she gestured them to sit. She gathered them all for that day to have a meeting. A meeting about the reforment of government and the laws of the country. These people will be her staff and advisers. Her upcoming coronation will happen in a few weeks. Now, even though she isn't formally crowned yet, the technicalities say she's already the Queen regent. The coronation is just a formality.
She wanted before her coronation, she already had done things to reform the cruel laws which were imposed during her estranged husband's reign. She wanted to conduct investigations first for those people who got detained, tortured and died during his reign. Those people who were accused with treason and rebellion against the Crown and the government.
"Let's begin." She authoratively announced.
