Ortiz de Rozaz palace
"Your grace, the Princess Amalia and Sir Sylas de Luca." Phaedron Lukas heard one of the palace's chamber maid, knocking his room's door and announcing the presence of his younger sister. It was almost noon. Mamayang 1pm ay magkakaroon siya ng meeting kasama ang bagong nahalal na Prime Minister ng bansa.
His sister immediately entered the room followed by her husband, the former Prime Minister of their country, Atty. Sylas de Luca. Kasama rin ng dalawa ang mga anak nito.
He looked back and smiled the moment he saw them. He was still buttoning his shirt when Amalia curtsied and Sylas bowed his head as a sign of greeting—after all, he was still the King Regent.
"Don't be formal you two. Parang hindi tayo pamilya," he playfully said and Amalia's children immediately went to him and gave him hugs. Amalia and Sylas have two children. The eldest, a son, named Atticus Rylan and their youngest, a girl, named Natalia Zuri—which Amalia named her after his first love, Natalie Villagomez.
"Uncle! We miss you!" Natalia, who was still eight years old, said while hugging him. Bumitaw na rin ang dalawa sa kanya.
"Ang kukulit niyo," Phaedron playfully tousled both of the kids' hairs. "How's school, Atticus?"
"I will have my piano recital next week, Uncle!" Atticus enthusiastically answered. Atticus is already in sixth grade.
"Natalia, how's your Math? Did it improve?"
"Yes po! I got an A+, Uncle!"
Phaedron smiled again and immediately lifted Natalia up into his arms. "Very good. I'm so proud of you, Nat."
"Iyong promise mo 'pag nagka-A+ ako, Uncle ha, bibigyan mo 'ko ng horse." Phaedron laughed at his niece's request. Last month pa kasi itong humiling sa kanya na bibigyan niya ito ng kabayo—nang minsang isinama niya itong manuod sa isang Equestrian race sa London.
"Of course. Your Uncle never breaks a promise."
"Saka nga pala, Kuya," it was now Amalia who started to talk. "Sure ka bang hindi ka sasama sa 'min mamaya sa Luxembourg? Para maabutan mo pa ang birthday ni Kuya Madrid."
