- 'Bandamanna Saga'.

*Omniscient narrator POV

Even from behind his eyelids the bright light was blinding, as if they were translucent they glowed red each individual blood vessel lit up, they felt impossible to open. Strange noises brought him out of his slumber everything ached, even after brutal battles his muscles had never felt this weak. Small hands put pressure on his wound, they felt so tiny, almost childlike.

No amount of words could express how he felt about Alisons killing blow, no words could explain how he felt when she actually went through with it. He saw the coldness in her eyes, he felt the snap of the bond they once shared as she walked away. He felt the dark slither of hope he had left die. He had no one left. He was completely and utterly alone.

Thor was as handsome as his father promised, even in his sorry state he was beautiful. Kára's heart pounded at the sight of her promised king. Decided long before Thor was born their union was to bring back the almighty Asgard.
They were to reform bonds broken eons ago, with their partnership the Valkryie would rise once more. He was the sign they had all been waiting so long for. Right here. Delivered straight to her feet by her best soldiers, rescued from the brink of death, and as the Valkryie way was to build from the ashes... so it shall be done.

Too long had the race hidden in the clouds; the sanctuary of the Pegasus race, they had sustained the last of the Valkryies for a millennium. Here safe from all who deemed them extinct they were growing, a powerful warrior race finally healed from the horrors of the past. They would rain hell fire down on their enemies now their last puzzle piece had arrived.

"Do you think he'll live?"
"Of course he will, our healers will have him on his feet in a few hours. He'll be sore and slow but alive."

"It's the best the goddess will do. We won't guide his soul for a very long time."

Sif had sat by her princes bedside since he arrived she'd fought by his side in countless wars, seen him in every state she thought imaginable. But the Thor that lay before her shook her to her core, the Almighty Thor; struggling his laboured breath echoing, a wheezing came from him that sounded like death. His overgrown matted hair couldn't be distinguished between beard or head hair. The sunken dark circles under his eyes told restless nights had plagued him for a while now.
Over weight and weak he truly had taken mourning his fathers death to a morbid level, that bitch deserting him when he needed her most did not sit well with Sif.

"I'll make her pay Thor, mark my words my sword will taste her blood."

"That's a bold promise my love." The sweetness of her voice always made Sif's heart sing.

"Bernie you should get some rest you'll work yourself to the bone."

"How can I rest when all I can think about is how you haven't slept since he arrived and how worried you are?"

Bernadette had become her closest friend here in the sky, she was a servant in the Palace once upon a time. She certainly didn't act or think like one anymore. Sif saw the spark in her the day we all escaped, thank the gods for the Valkryies. Bernadette had taken control of the workers a clear born warrior in a chamber maids uniform.

"I'll rest when I know my king is safe." Her tone solum.

"He'll wake when he is ready, come walk with me. Catch the night air it will freshen you up." Bernie took Sifs hand from Thors clenched grip and guided her out of the hospital wing into the front gardens. Not a word was said between the two until their feet landed on the sodden dew covered grass.
