Get Kat Back

After that day in Tokyo, things went dark again. No sign of Kat, Hydra or Ultron. But we haven't stopping racking our brains on something else that could happen. The possibly of something worse is inevitable, we just have to be ready for it.

Me and Sam decided to go back to the Sanctum today just so the team can debrief with one another and get ready for what Ultron and The Viper have for us the future.

On our way over there I couldn't help but feel the sadness cloud that surrounded me. Knowing that she's going through exactly what I have isn't comforting, and there is nothing I can do right now but wait for her to pop up again. But I swear to god, I'll be fucking damned if I let Hydra win and take her.

But, if Kat is under their control, how can we get her out? I mean shit it took me 2 years and learning out of a textbook to get my memory back then I was frozen and taught how to fight off the words for 2 more years. It was a shit show. There just has to be a way to break the chains off a little bit easier than that.

We pulled up to the Sanctum and were let immediately. We headed to the 2nd floor where Strange, Peter, Wanda, Barton and Wong were waiting.

"Barnes," Strange said, "Have we gotten any new leads."

I huffed, "Nothing yet, other than the attack in Tokyo, Hydra, Ultron and The Viper have been radio silent on all accounts."

"Why are you saying "The Viper" ? The Viper is Katerina. She's the murderer behind the mask and we need to remember that." Strange said.

I could tell he was a little cocky in his delivery and that is something I do not take lightly.

"No. Don't you see Strange. Katerina is not a murderer, Hydra took Kat and turned her into this no mercy killer! Katerina is not in that mind anymore. That mind is a blender that doesn't process anything other than the commands that are given to her. She's not herself so don't you fucking dare blame Katerina for any of this shit." I said with passion as Strange bowed out gracefully and ignored the topic all together after that.

Suddenly Wong came into the room and turned on the TV. He turned to the group of us huddled around the table and said, "You guys might want to see this."

"Last night the missing Avenger, Katerina Romanoff, was found in Tokyo, Japan after causing a scene, and murdering a total of 53 people. The attack was executed by the group known as Hydra, and witnesses describe the scene as a "brutal, heartless murder, done by someone we once thought of as a hero." It is unclear as to what charges will be handed to Ms. Romanoff, but she is still at large. If you have any information on her whereabouts, call authorities immediately, she should be considered armed and dangerous.

"I can feel her." Wanda added. "But it's not really her. I can feel her spirit, like a sadness, pain and longing for happiness, but other than that, I can't locate her mind or her body."

"How can we break her out? If we can stop the control that Hydra has of her mind, then she can escape without anything holding her back. If she can realize who she is, then we can worry about breaking the words at another time. If we break the hold, her mind is then set free." Barton said.

"Did y'all ever see the conjuring?" Peter chimed in.

"Peter, this has nothing to do with your fucking obsession with horror films." Sam said.

"I know. What I'm saying is Ed had to perform the exorcism to get the demon out of the wife right? So what if Wanda has a spell of some sort, that can pull the trigger words out and put her memory back in place, like in the movie."

Is it weird to think that the kid like actually has a point?

"His logic is a little flawed, but I think he has a point." Strange said.

"That is true. But the problem with a spell like that is 1. I must be with her when it happens, I can't do something that powerful from over here. I can cause detrimental harm to her. I wouldn't want to put her in that situation." Wanda said, "2. If something like that were to work, even if I was with her doing the spell right next to her, there is no guarantee that it will work. Say it brought her memories back but left the words or vice versa. This is risky and doing this will cause her harm if anything puts it in jeopardy."

"Wanda, "I said, "Are you willing to try? This could be the one thing we have right now to stop this all from happening."

"I can try." Wanda replied.

"But we also need to remember there is another enemy here, Ultron." Sam said.

"You said that Ultron needed the vibranium but for what?" Strange said.

"We think it has something to do with his connection with Sokovia. The first place Ultron went when he escaped the sanctum was Sokovia, so it's safe to believe that whatever he's planning has something to do with that." Sam said.

"But why? Why Sokovia?" Wanda asked.

"Well a lot of things are in Sokovia. It's where Wanda is from, where we lost Pietro, and the last location of the Tesseract. Now that there is no more stones, I wonder if that area where it was kept has a connection, or a lasting effect from the experiments." Sam responded.

"What kind of lasting effects and where?" I added. "If we think Ultron is somewhere near Sokovia, it's possible that Hydra and Katerina are with him."

"I'm not sure. The hydra base we took over, it was a church in the middle of the city right? What if this Ultron ploy was always a plan, but when we stormed in and took Wanda and Pietro, it got delayed for obvious reasons? Their cover was blown, and their main weapon was taken."

"That makes sense, but how can, we be sure? I mean we have no proof of the location of Ultron or Viper." Strange said.

" We just have to wait to get a hit. If we go before they do, or they sniff that we might have caught on it can delay everything." Wanda added. "I know how they work, they'll know as soon as a hit happens."

"Have we not gotten anything from Ultron the past couple of days?" Sam said.

"Silence. Parker and myself have swept all internet in the world. Nada." Stange replied.

"Well, let's stay sharp everyone. There are many lives at stake." Sam said.
