"You're going to find a way to get yourself out of this. I'm not giving you a kobo. Don't even think of trying to involve me in anything ever again. I'd told you to be careful and not afford any mistake but what did you do? Because of your foolishness I had to bear the brunt of losing my mother and you think you can now threaten me? Just who in the world do you think you're?!" Nabeel heard Goggo jidde's whisper yelling which made him stop in his tracks. He was passing by her room to go to Humaira who was waiting in the car for him so they could all meet with Adeel and the rest as planned. He didn't mean to eavesdrop or hide behind the door but the words were just too compelling. Who was Goggo jidde talking to? What was she telling the person at the other side of the phone not to involve her in?

"I don't want to hear what you have to say. If you get exposed, don't even think of saying my name else you're going to regret ever knowing me in your life!" She threatened menacingly and quickly hanged up the call before the person from the other line could reply. She breathed in and out till her nerves calmed down a little. Thereafter, she dropped her phone on the bed and stepped into the ensuite unbeknownst of the eavesdropper that was furtively watching her every move.

Nabeel couldn't believe his ears. Could it be that Humaira was right? Could it be that Goggo jidde has a hand in these? He shook his head in silent denial, desperately daring his mind not to jump into conclusions or allow any kind of doubt to settle in.

Remembering the saying that desperate times calls for desperate measures, he sneaked into the room before she could make her way out and swiftly copied the phone number in his phone with which she just had a call with.

"Your game is over Miss. I suggest you cut to the chaste now." Adeel uttered with an imperilling calm demeanor. They'd had a change of plan and decided to make things easier. Adeelah didn't need to record anything as the board of directors and all the others were outside the hall just within hearing distance. All they needed to do now was to get her to confess at all costs.

"You want to know why I did what I did? You think I'm a fool to just spill everything like you expect me to? I should've known you all were behind that silly threatening note. Had I known, I wouldn't have been here."

"Well now you do and there's no way out. You might not be a fool but we're no fools as well. So enough of all the hide and seek. Let's get over with this like the adults we are." Nabeel said this time with his hands crossed to his chest and a no-nonsense look on his face.

"Wait...you look awfully familiar. I think I've seen you somewhere before." Humaira muttered with creased brows as she tried hard to remember.

"Oh yes, you've seen me once before. 3 years ago. In this school. The toilet remember or you need more hints?" The lady asked with raised eyebrows and a smug smirk on her face.

"You mean you're the same lady who_" Humaira halted unable to complete her sentence as the shock abruptly sinked in.

"Yes. Zubaida Shehu. I forgot to tell you my name the other time. How nice It is to see you again. Dear, Humaira."

"But why did you do this? Why go as far as tarnishing my honor and reputation? You barely even know me. What have I ever done to you to deserve this?! Humaira yelled agitatedly on top of her voice.

"Don't you dare shout at me like that! You've no right. Also I do know you, more than meets the eye. And you're asking me what you've ever done to me? Like seriously? How easy is it for you to forget Humaira. That humiliating slap wasn't for nothing! Remember I'd told you that you'll pay for it and seeing the look on your face now, I can say my work has surely paid off." She broke into a sadistic laughter pointing a finger at Humaira's dumbfounded expression. She indirectly just confessed to her crime without her even noticing.
