Chapter-1 (Birthday present)

"Kate you look amazing today! Is something special?" Shouted Jessica from the counter as I entered the cafe.
I work here in this cafe. Its one of the famous cafe in this city and I love working here. I work here part time to cover my expenses as my family is not that much well to do.

I head towards Jessica at the counter.
She asked me again. " Today is some occasion right ?" She is thinking correct because I don't like to put on makeup or do my hair but though today is my birthday so I decided to look different today. I just curled my hair and applied a little makeup.

"Yeah jess! Actually its my birthday" I replied with great enthusiasm.
"Oh! Happy birthday kate I am sorry I didn't know" and she gave me a quick hug.
"umm ! Jess can you tell me where is Mia ?" Mia,my best friend! She also works with me in this cafe and we also share the same college. She texted me at 12am this morning about my birthday and we made a plan to hangout today as I was not having any huge party.

"She has not came yet!"
I felt disappointed about hearing that, my best friend is still not here yet.

"Kate! I am soooooo...... Sorry darling! Please forgive me...!"
I lifted my gaze and saw Mia running towards me. But she shouted too loud that the customers started staring at her. I got too happy after seeing her but I was also mad at her for getting late.
She rushed towards me and gave me a tight hug. I felt good but then I heard a familiar voice behind me.

"Miss Kate and Miss Mia! Could you please talk later and get back to your job. All the customers are getting irritated by you!"
Its Max our boss! He is very punctual towards work and he is bossy too!
Mia stepped aside and I headed towards the counter to continue my job.
"Miss Mia may I know why are you late?"
I looked back for a moment and noticed that Max was giving angry expressions to Mia.
"Sorry Max. I had some college paper work and it took me some time. Sorry, it won't happen again!"

"You are excused for today but don't get late again! Now get back to your work."
I took a sigh of relief and gave a smile to Mia who was looking at me.

Its been one hour that I am working and suddenly I heard some noises and cheers from nearby outside the cafe. Then in couple of minutes all the customers started leaving and running outside towards the place from where the noises were coming.

"Why all the customers are leaving!?"
I heard a familiar voice behind me. Its Mia.
"Something is going on outside." I replied without looking back.

"I am going out to check it." Jessica said and started walking towards the cafe door. Suddenly Max said...
" No need to go out!"
He replied in a cold voice.
" Its Robert Johnson. He is in our city and he is coming in our block with his girlfriend Ashley Warren"

What! I can't believe. The famous actor Robert Johnson is in our city and in our block! With his girlfriend Ashley warren who is also a famous actress. I can't believe its happening. I love watching their films and even I have watched lots of films of them but its something different to see them in front of me.

"What! Seriously! They are here! Oh my god I can't believe it , I want the autograph of both of them." I spoke in excitement without realising that Max was standing in front of us. Suddenly I returned from my dreamland to the real world and saw that all the eyes were on me and they were giving me amazed expressions.

"But you can't go out as your shift is going on." Max said and suddenly I felt a jolt of disappointment. I was getting angry at Max. I wanted to punch him on his nose but I knew that after this I would not be able to work here.
Suddenly one man entered the cafe and said.

"Robert Johnson and Ashley Warren are coming here. They want to eat something."

I was floating on cloud 9 when I heard this. I think today God is with me and although its my birthday so it would be the best birthday gift for me. To see the famous celebrities in front of me.
