Chapter-17 (Who Is After Me ?)

Amanda wasn't happy with what I said because she was expecting more what Daniel said but he only said goodbye, anyway I convinced her. She was angry at first but later helped me. And now I am sitting in a local cafe waiting for Mia to come.

"Hey you stranger." I looked back and found Mia standing there with her arms crossed with an angry expression on her face.

"Oh ! Mia." I got up and hugged her tightly. After so many days i get to see her and its very refreshing. She was my best friend but I wasn't treating her like one and need to apologise for all the things. Suddenly I was overwhelmed with so much emotions that I didn't notice when I started crying.

Her expression softened and she tried to soothe me with soft words.

"Hey ! Don't cry." She whispered.
Then I noticed that all the attention was on us in the cafe so i stopped crying and sat there with Mia.

"Hello ! What can i get ya ?"

"Two American latte please." Mia said and waved her off.

"Now ! Stop crying and explain so that I can help you."

I nodded and started explaining.

"So .... It started.........."

"I mean really ? You are going to stay with him until your brother is found !"

"Yes" i said and tried hard not to cry again.

"Huh! WTF ! Ok.... He is a celebrity but he doesn't have the right to control you. You will stay with me ! And also what about your college and our cafe ? You know boss is going mad over you."

My thoughts suddenly drifted off to the cafe. My boss isn't much polite. I am sure that he has already fired me but anyway I need to talk to him. I also need to continue college.

"Uh ! Yes. Don't worry I will talk to boss and I will do something about college. And .... You are correct. He doesn't have the right to control me but I owe him. He has helped me so much and though I am also the reason behind his breakup."

"Oh kate ! Stop blaming your self. You are not the reason for his breakup. Ashley was a f*cked up bi*ch."

I couldn't deny it that Ashley was truly an awful person but i need to stay with him.

"So, I got to go back. I will call you"

"Ok ! Kate. Take care."

I hugged her and we left the cafe as we bid our goodbyes.

I was standing and waiting for a taxi when suddenly by mistake I dropped my bag. I bent to pick it up when suddenly i heard a gun shot. I straightened myself suddenly and looked back horrified. The glass of the shop behind me had a hole of gun shot. Suddenly everyone on the street started panicking and running. I was so stunned that i couldn't move myself. I stood there frightened when suddenly a car pulled in front of me.

It was a sleek black BMW. The car stopped in front of me and I got frightened. To save myself I started walking farther from the car.

'Please let everything be OK' repeating the mantra in my mind I started running.
