Chapter-13 (Thank You)

"Yes ! I would love to." She beamed with joy.

I felt happy. She was a nice girl and very much talkative. It would be fun to have her as a friend.

I looked at her with a smile on my face but suddenly her smile faded and was replaced by a nervous look.

"What's bothering you?" I asked softly.

"Actually..... You know ..... I work here. So !!!!"

"So ! It doesn't bother me. And I do like you."

She smiled at me and then left the room.

As she went out I looked for my cell phone but couldn't find it. Then I remembered that I kept it in my bag and that bag was in Robert's car.

I got out of my bed and started walking towards the door. I was barefoot and the floor was cold. I gazed at the room for a moment. It was a vast room with pale white ceiling. The room was simple yet elegant with cream colour walls. The bed was also big enough for 4 I guess.

I went outside the room and was stopped in my track. I got stunned by seeing what was in front of me. There was a huge mansion in front of me. It was a big freaking mansion. It was beautiful that I can't describe it. There was a huge hall in front of me followed down by the stairs. There were several rooms along with the one in which I was staying.

I was looking around the hall when someone caught my eye. It was Robert. He was leaning on the wall at the corner and was gazing at me. My cheeks turned red and i broke the contact. Then slowly i descended the stairs and stopped few steps before Robert. It was awkward because he was saying nothing just looking at me. Then i decided to break the silence.

"Hey!"

"Hi,.... Umm.... How are you feeling now ?"

"Fine. Actually i was looking for my bag."

"Oh, yeah its with me i will get it for you."

I gave him a brief nod as he left. After he left i roamed through the hall and admired its beauty.

I saw a vase which looked very beautiful. It looked like an antique piece. I was about to touch it when someone stopped me.

"Don't touch it !"

I retrieved my hand and turned back. I saw Amanda standing few feet away from me.

"I am sorry but you are not allowed to touch it. You know it might break and its an antique piece." She said and made an apologetic face.

"Oh ! Ok."

"Here is your bag!" I heard a familiar voice and noticed Robert coming towards me behind Amanda.

"Thank you"

I took the bag and took out my phone. As usual there were several calls and messages. Ignoring them i once again dialed my brother's number and waited as the bell rang.

"The number you have dialed is out of service"

I furiously switched off my phone.
Noticing my anxiousness he asked me.

"What happened ? You look so worried."

"Umm. My brother. His phone is out of service."

He thought for a moment then looked at me.

"I can help you in finding your brother."

"Thank you but i think you have already helped me a lot."

"But i want to help you."

I kept silent. I mean i don't know how to deal with such a situation. A celebrity wants to help me. Maybe i had done some good deeds in my previous life that's why its all happening to me.

"I want to visit my mother." I said with a low whisper. I looked at the floor my head down. It is so much pain to think about my lovely mother. She was the best mother in the world.

Tears started to pool in my eyes but i somehow managed to keep them at bay. I looked upward and he was looking at me with a sympathic look.

"I will take you."

I didn't know how to respond instead I just nodded my head and he left.

'Thank you sooo much' i spoke in my head. I don't think that my thank you would be enough for what he has done for me. He has done so much for me and it hurts that i can't help him in any way. I was the reason for his breakup but instead of being angry with me, he is helping me. I don't think that anybody else has done this much for me.

I looked at him with a small smile on my face as he left.
