Chapter-10 (Lots of Problem)

"She is dead."

"What !?" I was shocked. Totally shocked. This is not true. My world seems like it has stopped. Everything is still.

I shouted so loudly that Robert entered the kitchen.

"What happened?" As he asked I burst into tears. I tried very hard to keep them at bay but I finally broke down.

I ended the call ensuring my brother that I will be coming there soon and I burst into tears.

"Kate! What happened ?" He asked again with concern but I wasn't able to speak at that time. It seems like the words were not ready to come out. But I finally said.

"My mom." I was only able to say that much. Without wasting any more time I went to my room to start packing. I stuffed all the things in bag as there was no time to arrange them.

"You need any help?" He interrupted me while I was busy in packing.

"No, thank you." How could I expect him to help me. He was a celebrity,NO, a busy celebrity.

"What happened to your mom?" He asked. There was no time for me to explain so I zipped my bag and took my phone.

"I need to go." After saying I was about to open the door when he  grabbed my wrist and stopped me.

"You are not well so I will come with you."

I wasn't expecting this. He has only met me 2 times and he wants to help me. He showed no expression as I gave him a nod. It was not appropriate to take help from him but I wanted to reach there as soon as I could.

Without wasting any more minute I rushed out of the apartment and he followed me. His black BMW was parked in front.

Crowd started to gather so I had to cover up my face but I don't think it would help me. As he opened the car I sat in the passenger seat with my bag on my lap and he started driving.

"You didn't bring your driver ?" I asked because this question was bothering me.

"No. I like to drive on my own.". He said without showing any expression.

It was strange that he was helping me but he didn't show any emotion. But the only thing in my mind at that time was my MOM.

The home where my mom and my brother lived was not so far but it took 3 hours to go there.

As we came nearer and nearer my heart beat started increasing. I couldn't stop thinking about my mom. She raised us with such hardships. It was difficult for her without my dad but she didn't loose hope. She was so busy in taking care of us that she didn't found any time for her. She wanted to secure our future. I thought of giving my Mom all the happiness which she deserves. After graduation I thought of bringing mom with me but now it will be a dream only.

Finally we reached there. It was evening when we reached. The sun started setting in. I opened the car door and rushed towards the small house. It wasn't locked so I opened it. I saw no one in there so I took out my phone and dialed Jake.

I dialed his number but he didn't pick up. I tried again but there was no response. I was about to faint when two hands grabbed me from behind.

"Kate ! Just calm down. Don't panic."

How can I calm down when Jake wasn't picking up phone and my mom was dead.

I couldn't stop myself and burst into tears. One by one tears started falling and my head started throbbing. I couldn't take it longer so I gave myself into darkness.
