# Robert's POV #

I was getting really impatient. Though I was happy that now we knew that where she was but still I wanted to see her so badly.

"Drive fast !" I said to Daniel getting impatient.

"Calm down bro. Its not a jet plane. We are almost there."

After some minutes he parked the car in front of an old cottage. That house was looking really bad I mean it was not looking good, as if it was locked for years.
Without wasting any more time I got off the car and he also came out. Cops were also there and were about to enter the house. I followed them and we entered slowly, without making any noise.

All the cops went to different directions to search. I went towards left and searched. I didn't find her there. Then I walked in kitchen and also searched other rooms but she was nowhere to be found. I was really frustrated and wanted to knock down every damn person.

I walked further and found a room. I opened it and there were stairs going down. I walked down the stairs and there was another door. I tried to open it but it was locked. I could hear voices from inside the room.

I put my ear on the door and tried to hear that what was going on inside. It was Kate ! I can recognise that voice. That sweet voice that filled me with happiness.

I called the cops immediately and tried to open the door but it didn't budge. Then we all pushed the door hard and it opened suddenly.

"Kate..." I shouted but before I could go to her and held her in my arms and ensure her that everything was fine. The bastard in from of me shot her.

I froze and tried to comprehend that what just happened. It was like someone shattered my world into million pieces. I ran towards her and held her in my arms. I shouted her name several times but she didn't respond. She was laying in my arms and then she closed her eyes.

Tears began to come out from my eyes and I didn't realise it until I felt tears falling down on her. I don't know when I last cried like this but I was really devastated at that moment.

At that moment I realised that how strong I have fallen for her. I couldn't imagine me without her. She meant everything to me. Though I didn't show it to her but at that time I would give anything to save her. I can die for her. I just love her so damn much.

# Kate's POV #

I growled as I opened my eyes. My head was paining. In fact my whole body was paining very badly. Then all the things rushed suddenly and struck my brain. Jake ! The bullet ! I studied my surrounding and noticed that I was in a hospital. I tried to get up but winced when pain shot through my stomach. I was shot there. Suddenly one hand reached over mine and I looked at my right.

"You okay ? How are you feeling?"
Robert asked in a whisper. I was shocked to see him in this state. His face was pale and lifeless and he was having huge bags under his eyes. His eyes were swollen too like he cried non stop. Words didn't come out of my mouth by seeing his current state.

"I am fine. Thank you." I replied after staring at him for some time.

He reached for my face and stroked it gently. At that moment I was so happy that he was here with me. Though I was angry at him at that time and wanted to get away from him but when I was being shot then I realised that how much I needed him. At that moment I realised that even if he didn't love me but I have already fallen hard for him and I wanted to be with him no matter what.
