Chapter Ten - A Good Place To Come, When You Come Looking For Fun

Everyone tip-toed into the room.

Finally.

Finally I could get a look.

Afros. Such an inconvenience sometimes.

I peeked past into the room. Row upon row upon row of huge silver shelves lay symmetrically in the room, stacked and loaded with cardboard boxes, some open, some taped shut- but all printed with huge logo's that shouted out mouth-watering things like Pop-tarts, Tootsie Rolls and Twinkies. I don't know why they have these sorts of things in concert halls, but I suppose that doesn't really matter - what matters is that they're there and I want them now!

I realised I was drooling a little, and I quickly wiped it away from the side of my mouth, looking around at Gerard, Mikey, Ray, Flame and Elena to see if any of them noticed my accident.

But they were all looking at the other side of the room, mouths open; frozen.

Slowly I followed their gazes, stopping at the left corner of the room where three men were leant over a box on a preparing table stuffing their mouths with assorted crisps and sweets from a large, plastic container.

My mouth was wide. Vampires?

No...surely Vampires would not be stuffing their faces with Thai sweet chili chips and three for a dollar candy packets...though I'm sure that's got to be tastier then draining blood...?

From behind all I could see was one guy with spiked up dyed black hair, wearing a green vest kind of top and black skinny jeans with tattoos running up and down his arms. Another taller one stood next to him with shorter natural black hair, wearing a trench coat, and from the looks of it, glasses. The third guy, standing a little off the way from the two others had layered dark brown hair swept over his head and was wearing a plain blue t-shirt with a black jacket over the top and plain jeans.

"Vampires?" Ray asked, breaking our trance and snapping us into action.

"No...no, they can't be," Bob muttered - more to himself than anyone else - "Let's go find out."

Silently we creeped through the room, all going our separate ways around the huge silver shelves. We could see each other through them so that was alright, and we were all geared up with stakes and fire extinguishers, so, even if they do turn out to be Vamps, we'll be fine. It'll just be a shame, though. They look pretty cool guys.

Gerard gave me thumbs up and I nodded. He nodded to Bob, who nodded to Ray - who was nearest to the men. Ray gave a huge breath and Flame smiled encouragingly at him.

Ray tip-toed closer.

I was surprised that the three guys hadn't yet heard us. They would stand no chance if we were Vampires. But I have yet to see their fighting skills. They look like the sort of guys who could carry their own weight in a fight. Accept for maybe the guy on the end...he looks very introverted...and if he was in a fight, I would be wondering what the fuck for.

With pole outstretched, Ray crept behind the guy in the middle wearing the trench coat and then firmly poked him in the middle of his back.

The guy twirled around, muttering out a pissed of 'ouch!' and instantly the other two wheeled round, the one on the left with the spiky black hair pointing a gun directly at Ray's head. Right in between the eyebrows.
