Chapter Six - Pacts, Chairs, And A Little Bit Of Madness Creeping In

"Oh God!" Wailed Elena, "And I had so much to live for!"

"Have." I corrected with a stern face, "You have so much to live for. You're not dying yet, my friend."

"Wise words, my friend." Gerard smiled at me, trying to make the best of a situation that shouldn't even exist for its depravity.

"No!" Ray cried, "This isn't happening! Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit..."

"Vampires...Frank...Vampires...Frank...Vampires...Frank...Vampires...Frank..." Mikey was nervously stuttering over the same two words, wringing his hands in worry.

"I'm going to die such a painful death!" Flame wailed, hastily wiping her eyes with shaking hands.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit..."

"Vampires...Frank...Vampires...Frank...Vampires...Frank...Vampires...Frank..."

"SHUT UP!" Gerard suddenly yelled, Bob looking moody over his shoulder, clearly thinking of a plan in his head.

Everyone jumped, Mikey looking around like a dog caught in a firework party, Ray's 'fro bobbing up and down as he shook his head as his brain tried - and failed - to cope with all the information and horror it was receiving.

Everybody looked expectantly at Gerard who had gone a peculiar shade of red.

"Yes?" Moody Bob asked, raising a blonde eyebrow.

"Uh..." Gerard stuttered, "It's going to be okay, everyone. We will get out of this. No need to panic."

"Yeah..." Bob replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes in a manner that suggested he couldn't care less.

"No Bob!" Gerard cried getting annoyed now, "Why are you such a downer?"

"Yeah, Bob!" I joined in. As soon as Bob sent me his warning death glare I went red and shut up.

Gerard sent me a confused look and I pretended to cough a very fake cough and look into my hands, desperately failing to hide my red face.

"We need to think of a plan." Gerard said, shooting a look at Bob who was opening his mouth to object.

"I was only going to say I agree with you man, God." Bob said gruffly, staring darkly at Gerard.

"Okay, uh...well, thanks." Gerard stuttered. I felt sorry for him; he was trying to organise everyone and get everything together, but hell, it's not really working for him.

"I agree!" I piped up, regaining my confidence.

"You agree with what?" Elena asked, rubbing her temples.

"With what Gerard said, obviously!" Ray snapped, fidgeting in his seat.

"Well, duh." Mikey muttered, casting nervous looks at the locked door and closed windows.

"Please, just shut up already!" Gerard cried as Flame opened her mouth to complain. Everyone sent him dirty looks, but Gerard narrowed his eyes, turning to everybody in the room in turn and giving them even worse looks.

"Seriously everybody, you're pissing me off-"

"No! You're pissing me off!" Mikey cried, throwing arms up and uncorking the emotions which he'd failed to keep bottled up inside, "There are fucking Vampires in this building! Hell, my best friend is a Vampire! Gerard, don't you understand this?! Don't you?! How are we going to do this?! We're all going to rot in this building, eaten alive by these creatures of the night! And if we don't get eaten, we're gonna run out of food and we're gonna starve to death! Either way we're going to die and there's nothing you can do to stop it happening!" Mikey stopped shouting - breathing heavily - staring accusingly at Gerard who was stuttering at his brother's sudden outburst.
