Chapter Three - And The Crowd Goes Wild

Flame walked out into the stage first, followed by Elena, then me. The crowd was roaring, bright lights shone on my face and a huge grin stretched across my lips. Out here, playing my drums in front of an excited audience, it's what I love to do. The best remedy for me.

Flame bounded up to the mic, and picked up her precious guitar next to it, Elena got her bass from backstage and joined Flame on stage, and lastly, me. I sat behind my drum kit, smiling happily as excited Nightmares Abandoned and My Chemical Romance fans screamed and already started dancing.

"We haven't even started playing, yet, guys!" Elena cried into the mic set up next to her, chuckling as the crowd went bullshit, loud cheers setting off around the place like fireworks.

"Let's do this thing!" Flame shouted loud into the microphone, "We're Nightmares Abandoned, I'm Flame, this is Elena," Flame pointed to Elena who gave a sexy little wave, "And last, but not least, our drummer, Thorn!" I blushed, not used to all the limelight on me, and gave a small smile, picking up my drum sticks and getting ready, moving myself into the beat of our first song, My Immortal.

"I'm so tired of being here

Suppressed by all my childish fears

And if you have to leave

I wish that you would just leave

'Cause your presence still lingers here

And it won't leave me alone

...

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears

When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears

And I held your hand through all of these years

But you still have

All of me..."

By the end of the song everything was silent, everyone was captivated by Flame's magical voice and the way all of our instruments came together to create something beautiful.

Flame smiled over at me and I gave her thumbs up, mouthing,

"Go for it!" She grinned and turned back to the mic, shouting into it,

"Now we've got you warmed up we're going in for something heavier. This is Ignorance:

If I'm a bad person, you don't like me

Well I guess I'll make my own way

It's a circle

A mean cycle

I can't excite you anymore

Where's your gavel? Your jury?

What's my offense this time?

You're not a judge but if you're gonna judge me

Well sentence me to another life

...

Well you treat me just like another stranger

Well it's nice to meet you sir

I guess I'll go

I best be on my way out

You treat me just like another stranger

Well it's nice to meet you sir

I guess I'll go

I best be on my way out..."

The crowd cheered; sweat poured down our faces.

It made me feel amazing.

Immortal.

Wonderful.

Gravity don't mean too much to me.

I laughed, heading banging a bit,

"Now you guys are all crazy, let's get this party started!" Flame yelled, Elena and me cracking whoops and making our hands into rock signs.

"I'm gonna play a little song called The Legacy! Sing along if you know the words!"

I started up the drum beat, Elena strummed the first few chords on her bass and Flame joined in with her guitar before opening up her lips and pouring up the song from her heart,

"Racing faster,

Escape disaster,

Partners in crime will leave their mark,

We make our own way,

No thoughts of yesterday,

Black hearts of chrome and battle scars,

(Chrome and battle scars)

Oh..."

---

Apart from My Immortal, Ignorance and The Legacy we also played I Miss You, Nice Guys Finish Last, and My Apocolypse.

Then, because we still had a few minutes left, we finished with one of our most well known and loved songs, I'm Not A Vampire.

At the end of our set, people were screaming. They loved us.

No surprise, really...

Okay, that sounded really big-headed...

Meh.

"Goodbye!" Flame shouted, blowing kisses and walking off stage, cradling her guitar like a baby. I slid out from the drums, joined Elena, and after waving a little, joined Flame off stage, wiping my brow to stop the sweat pouring in my eyes.

My Chemical Romance were standing by the edge of the stage,

"You guys did amazing!" Ray praised, giving us all high fives,

"Thanks." Flame smiled, pulling him in for a hug.

"You're a real crowd starter, Flame." Gerard commented, "You really get 'em hyped up, it's great."

Flame blushed,

"Thanks, Gerard, but you don't even need to speak a word to get your fans hyped up." Gerard blushed, then smiled,

"I'm not that loved, y'know..." Everyone laughed,

"Yes you are!" We all said in unison.

"I really like the way you played the bass in The Legacy, it was pretty amazing." Mikey told Elena, who blushed and complimented him back,

"Hadn't you better go on now?" I asked embarrassed that moody Bob hadn't complimented me on my drum skills yet.

Meh.

"Yeah..." Gerard said wistfully, looking at me.

"Good luck!" Flame cried, before I could get lost in Gerard's heavenly, hazel eyes staring unblinkingly at me.

Okay, that's kinda creepy. He wouldn't stop staring at me.

Awkward.

I blushed and turned away, mumbling out a 'have fun'.

I looked up in time to see Frank as he was about to go on stage.

He looked so nervous. He was chewing his lips; wringing his hands.

I shook my head, must be nerves or something...

But he looked really scared about something...

Weird...
