The next day, I had to go face my mom. Apparently I had missed the rest of school, but I was excused being that I had been kidnapped by a 'maniac' while on Spring Break and I didn't have to repeat the grade. I would be a senior next year... Embry and I got to my house and he kissed my cheek before we went inside.

Old Quil and mom were standing there, waiting for us. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes.

"My baby... My poor baby." She ran her thumb over the scars on my face. Tears filled her eyes and she hugged me.

"Mom, I'm sorry. I never should've gone back," I sobbed and she pulled back.

"No. Don't say that, ever. It isn't your fault, Anna-May." She stepped aside and Old Quil hugged me. They both looked like hell and I told them to go out and that Embry would stay with me. They didn't really want to, but in the end, I convinced them. Embry and I sat on the couch in silence.

"Thank you for staying with me, Embry. Through everything. I can't believe I almost lost you." I caressed his cheek and he smiled.

"I love you, Anna." He had said it. I had been waiting all this time to hear it and I finally had. I smiled and kissed him.

"I love you, too, Embry Call."

After an hour of sitting there, getting lost in each others eyes, Embry and I decided to go to Sam and Emily's. Both of the packs were going to be there. I dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. As I jogged down the stairs, I pulled on my boots and turned to Embry. He seemed nervous about something, but as I looked at him, he composed himself and smiled.

As we got to Sam and Emily's and walked inside, everyone was there already. Emily had baked a three tiered red velvet cake with pink and blue icing and a bunch of food. Everyone hugged me and Emily joked, saying we had matching scars now. We sat and ate.

I loved having my family around me. I didn't feel like they only saw my scars. After we finished eating, we were all sitting in the backyard around a bonfire when Jacob stood up and addressed everyone.

"Guys, I think Embry has something to say." He gestured to his friend sitting next to me and Embry stood.

"As everyone knows, I imprinted on Anna earlier this school year, when she moved here from Louisiana. And as everyone knows, at the beginning of spring break, she was kidnapped by a bloodsucker. He tortured her and hurt her badly. I realized then that we aren't invincible and I could lose her."

My heart started beating wildly and Embry pulled a small box from his pocket and knelt down on his knee. I clasped my hand over my mouth to hide my smile.

"Anna-May Calhoun, will you marry me?" He opened the box to reveal a silver band with a big diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds.

"Yes! A million times, yes!" He pulled me into a hug and everyone erupted in whooping, congratulations, and hugs.

The next day, I went to the Cullen's house to tell them about the engagement. I had told my mom earlier that morning. She wasn't as happy as I hoped, but she gave her blessing nonetheless. Alice opened the door and pulled me into a tight hug.

"I'm so happy for you!" She pulled me to the living room where she had her wedding stuff; scrapbook, magazines, a designing mannequin, measuring tape. Bella and Rosalie were sitting on the couch.

"Hey, Anna! Congrats!" They said, hugging me. Alice and I agreed on a lot of stuff; the cake, my dress, bridesmaid dresses. The elders pulled some strings at the school board and got Embry and I half of senior year instead of a full year. We would finish in December but walk with our class in May.

Alice took measurements and wrote them down. Rose and I flipped through magazines.

"I want the three of you to be bridesmaids. And Leah and Nova, too. I'll call them to come and you can get their measurements," I said to Alice. She nodded and I called them.

"So, let's get to designing your dress. I'll sketch," Rose said. I told her what I wanted and she drew it beautifully. Alice would buy the material and make the dresses herself.

"The cake will be three tiered and white. We'll have the same aisle arrangements. Rose petals for the flower girl," Bella said, making notes.

"I want Renesmee to be my flower girl. The bridesmaids will wear boots. The flower girl dress will be solid pearl pink, one strap. I don't care about the flowers for the bouquets, but my bouquet should have that white glitter mesh stuff and white ribbons. The bridesmaid bouquets will have Pearl pink ribbon. The dresses will be knee length with a sweetheart neckline, long lace sleeves, and they'll be pink." I finished and they all smiled.

By the end of summer, I would be married to my best friend. The wedding would be at First Beach. The elders gave permission for the Cullen's to be there during the ceremony and reception. I was so happy! I couldn't believe it was finally happening.
