Lisanna and Natsu, friendship that will be forever

Sting's POV

The light that shone engulfed everything that we didn't know what happen after it but everyone thinks that it was a miracle.

Some are happy but dragonslayers like us can't say for sure. Afterall we couldn't prove ourselves that we could beat dragons.

We are at a party the King prepared for all wizards...

And Lucy...

She disappeared right after that.

Even the Fairies doesn't know where she went. The Celesta woman too doesn't know where she is.

Why did she have to leave without saying anything to us?

But I'm not the only one feeling like this. Natsu-san is also worried and most probably the one crying too hard for her.

"I'm sorry Natsu-san, I wasn't able to watch over her." the blue-haired little girl apologized. "Wendy it's not your fault." he cheers up to the girl and noticed me staring.

He walked towards me. "If ever Lucy comes back at least tell me that she's doing fine." he gave a sorrowful smile as he pat my shoulder.

He's not himself at all. Then he also approached Rogue and told him something.

"Sting." Erza-san approached.

"Hai?" I asked politely. "About what I told you yesterday I'm quite sure that you understand how much Natsu cares for Lucy." she reminds me.

"Natsu did everything to search for Lucy. He went up to her dad, took jobs that are connected to the last job we all took together the time she was abducted, took all jobs that are related to spirit world and such and when he was given a chance to become an S-class wizard he took it up postponing his search for Lucy but as to return with a name that could help him widely search for Lucy."

I clearly remember it all. That's why I know that I'm no match to him.

"I want you to help Natsu." she beg for favor that caught me off guard.

"If it's for finding Lucy I would gladly help but I won't let her return to Fairy Tail so easily." I replied back.

"That alone is fine. We all want to see her safe and sound since we were once a family and we'll always be as we are connected through the origin of magics." and there she left with a smile.

Natsu's POV

If Lucy's disappearance is caused by the death of her future then she's gone... forever?

"Levy." I approached Gajeel and Levy who are busily talking. "I have somethinh to ask."

"What is it Salamander?" Gajeel asked instead of Levy. "If my future self comes here and dies here, will I, the present also disappear?"

"No, however, if the present dies before the future then it will cease to exist." Levy explains. "Natsu, I'm sorry even though I was with her when that light also reached us I didn't grab her hand." No, this isn't right. No one is to be blamed of it. It could be her decision to disappear without trace again.

This must be her answer as she is worried that Sabertooth and Fairy Tail will fight over her. Man, this is really it. She already went into hiding on her own accord I can't stop that anymore.

"Natsu-san..." Sting came closer as he called out with a soft voice.

"I will look for her so please do search for her as well." he claimed.

He made a decision that might hurt Lucy I guess I need to tell him to stop it. "Don't. Lucy needs time. She will return once everything clears up to her. For the time being it might hurt her even more if we continue to follow her."

"Don't kid with me!" Sting grabbed me on the collar. "If you have no plan to find her do not ever push it to me! I may be with her for only a month but the time we spent together was something I would never forget so easily!" he yelled and he started to tear down.

"I liked her! However the one she loves is you, Natsu-san! That is why...
I want to find her so that she won't be in pain alone!"

This brat... how would he know what Lucy feels for me.

I shoved his grip on me and I walked away from the party.

"Why won't you take his offer?" Lisanna came out of the blue as I sighed. "What? Am I pestering you?" she coldly asked.

"I've always liked you since we were kids and was totally serious about wanting to be your wife however when I disappeared all things started to change for you." She stopped and looked up trying to hold her tears.

What can I do?

I do like Lisanna however more like as friends. Sure, everything changed when Lucy came into my life and when Lisanna returned I already know that those feelings I had for her had changed as well.

"Natsu... right now, I'm going to give you up. Lucy was a friend of mine too and I know she hold the same feelings for you too so please join Sting to find her or better yet find her on your own." Lisanna gave a thumbs up and a wide smile with a clear eyes where there's no hint of regret.

"Lisanna.... I... Thank you for everything."

"Don't mind it just that for now let me reflect on something so if you would please leave." she turned her back and waited for me to go back inside the party.

I don't want to make it painful for her so I just went back inside the party. The king arranged the party at night so it's pretty much dark. I'm worried about Lisanna but if I stayed she'll be in greater pain and I can't do anything to make her feel better.

"Natsu~!" Mirajane called with Yukino and Rogue. "What's up?" I asked feeling a bit better to talk now. "Sting is missing right after you went out. Have you seen him?" Rogue worried.

Sting... That kid really want me to make him realize that there's no need to searcg for Lucy since she just returned to her home that's the feeling I get.

"Leave him."

"I can't Natsu-sama!" Yukino yelled.

"Sting-sama is very important to us Sabertooth so please." she pleads.

What's more Mira's threatening glare is also getting on my nerve.

"Shall I help you?" Lisanna came back jumping on me. She seemed livelier now.

"You would?!" Yukino's eyes twinkled as they look at Lisanna.

"Yup and Lucy too. Natsu, I asked you a favor, right? Then do it properly." Lisanna pats and ruffles my hair like I'm a kid.

Looks like I have nothing to worry on about.

"Lisanna-sama!" Yukino cried. "Y-you don't have to cry like that." Lisanna worries. "She just want to express her deepest gratitude." Rogue was also in tears. What's weong with them actually?

Did they hit their head so hard?

"Natsu, let's form the team we had back then and end it with the most important mission in the whole world and that is saving one of our companion." Lisanna raised her hand for a high five and so I agreed.

"Let's do it in a flashy way!" I added.

No matter what happens Lisanna will always stay as herself.
