Chapter 21
Turn of Wheel

Lucy stayed in the town's inn for a week and decided to return to her home first.

She went to visit her Father in the guild he's working at only to find him dead. It's been four months since his death.

"I'm sorry, dad. If only I remembered then, maybe I could have seen you again for the last time", she cried.

"Are you Lucy Heartfillia-san?" A stranger approached her. "Yes, I am." she replied and quickly wiped off her tears. "Your father, Jude Heartfillia wanted us to give you this." and she was handed a golden card.

"That card is worth 10 billion jewels. More than enough to take back your hometown."

Dad... Are you telling me to go and take back everything that belongs to Heartfillia estate?, she said to herself.

"And here's another letter."

'Dear Lucy,

I wanted to take back our home and everything that belonged solely to the Heartfillia's, Your mother's treasured place, that is why I've been saving up and doing my best. That place is exactly 5.5 Billion Jewels up until the mountains. In my next excavation work  I'll at least be able to earn 2 billion jewels.

Dear Lucy,

My excavation work is done and I received the amount I calculated. Next up, I have a big project and if it is successful my, our dream of taking back our home will finally be achieved.

Dear Lucy,

The big project failed but I won't give up. I'll definitely not lose hope. Even though you disappeared, I know and still pray that you are alive somewhere in this world.

My precious Lucy,

My and Layla's beloved, most cherished treasure. I know that I've failed you countless of times but even so when you came to the guild I'm going to work at you still considered me as your dad. That alone I'm thankful. It doesn't matter whether you'll forgive me or not, what's important to me is that I am still a father to you....'

'Otou-sama.....' she cried again.

She traveled to Magnolia on the same day unfortunately it took her hours until night time. Almost no one walking  around the town.

She was in front of Fairy Tail however, she decided not to show up anymore. She left and continued to head towards her apartment. She was told that her father paid for her rent for the past 7 years and that there are lots of birthday gifts sent over.

The landlady was waiting there knowing that she'll come around. She was guided to her room and she noticed that nothing changed. It was as it is when she left. There were plenty of presents on her bed and table. And what caught her eyes is the recently delivered gift with letter that the landlady told her about. It was on her desk. Once again, she cried.

~The next day

Happy visited Lucy's apartment only to find the presents that were once there, all gone now.

"She moved out", The landlady came in with a new tenant. "Lucy did?", he asked and she nodded. He flew out immediately rushing to their guild.

"Natsu!!!!" , he shouted and the entire guild focused on him.

"Happy? What's wrong?", he asked.

"It's Lucy!"

"Lucy?", they asked. "She's here in town?", Natsu inquired. "No, she left the town already", Happy answered.

Then Natsu took Happy outside with him leaving the guild hall. "She came here not even bothering to visit us", Natsu complained. "She have her reasons", he claims. Happy knows that Lucy's suffering a lot after all she got to her apartment and read that very letter sent by her father.

"Don't mention her name anymore", and Natsu walked away from him.
Natsu's changed, thought Happy. He was saddened by the way he changed.

Lucy, on the other hand, came back to her hometown. She bought it back, the Heartfillia's Estate. 

"I'm home", she said as she watched the scenery herself.
