Chapter 21
Part of Sabertooth

Natsu finally told them his plan on going back home. And most of them agreed except for Happy. "Natsu, have you given up?", he asked him.

"No, but we need to come back, I guess. Surely, Mira and Elfman are worrying about Lisanna", he explained as he looked at Lisanna. That was his excuse but deep in him he had lost hope.

"I'll go outside for a bit", he excused himself from them. Lisanna and Happy couldn't do anything right now as they knew Natsu for a very long time.

Natsu strolled around the town. He tried to reminisce his days together with Lucy. The first time they met in Hargeon, rescuing Macao, the day they formed their team, their first mission together as team, and all that occurred until that mission that wrecked those happy moments they had.

"Lucy!!", he shouted as he cried in frustration.

Lucy who was nearby heard it. She followed where it came from and caught sight of Natsu's pink hair.

She jumped on him as soon as she spotted him.

"Lucy!", he called with his eyes still uncleared due to when he cried earlier. "Natsu", Lucy tightly wrapped herself around him and cried. "I'm finally back", she continued as she cried.

Natsu wiped his tears and tightened their heart warming embrace. "Luce", he called her name and smiled.

"Nat.....su", Lisanna found the salamander and a blonde girl in an embrace. She immediately knew at that moment. Her heart was shattered to pieces seeing the scene. 'Lucy's back... Everything's gonna change now', she said to herself and tears started to flow down from her eyes.

Natsu took Lucy to their current place. He told already told her about Sting and she immediately agreed with letting it be since she caused a lot of trouble to him and the Sabers.

"Lucy!", Minerva, Yukino and Rogue welcomed her as soon as she stepped foot on their front door. "How did you..?", Natsu wondered as nobody knew that she came back. "It was me. I saw you two earlier", Lisanna raised her hand and mischievously cheered the atmosphere. She gave Lucy a warm welcome and teased Natsu again.

"I'm back", Sting came back and Minerva pulled him and faced him to Lucy. "Wh-what are you doing?", Sting asked towards Minerva as he was suddenly faced to a stranger. "You are Sting Eucliffe?", Lucy started a conversation normally. "Indeed, I am", he relaxed a bit as he found her easy to talk to.

"I'm Lucy, nice to meet you", she introduced herself and hands out her hand for a shake and he reached out for it saying, "Likewise."

Natsu smiled seeing how they really get along even though Sting couldn't remember her. Then at some point he felt pained like it's unfair with Sting who was desperately looking for her.

"You are a Saber?", Sting asked as he noticed the Sabertooth's guild mark on her. "Ah, I am.", she hid her hand right away. "Originally, I was from Fairy Tail then Minerva-hime invited me to a job that Fairy Tail Members aren't allowed at. That mission was to save my Father which is why I joined Sabertooth.", she explained, technically lying except the part that she was originally from Fairy Tail.

"I see", Sting nodded as he was convinced however, he can't remember such job that Minerva took. He went to his own room and changed.

"Lucy, thank you.", Minerva came forward and took hold of her hands thanking her alot. "There's nothing to thank for", she smiled at minerva and her hands were freed. Everything went to silence.

"Lucy, we'll be going home tomorrow, is that okay?", Natsu breaks the silence among them. Yukino and Rogue excused themselves so did Minerva. Happy and Lisanna were the only ones who were left behind with them. "I'm sorry, Natsu. I'm a part of Sabertooth. I no longer am part of Fairy Tail", Lucy decided.

"Then even if just this time around please visit Fairy Tail.", he insisted on taking her back to Fairy Tail. "Okay, I'll do that. Gomenne, even now Sting is still the one who weighs on my heart.", she apologized. He heard it all and absorbed it all. He felt something not just a breaking of his soul but as if his whole body and soul were being incinerated into ashes.

What made them all surprised was when Lisanna slapped Lucy. "Lisanna!", Happy worried while Natsu was standing there not expecting her to hit Lucy. "Lucy. Natsu waited for you all these time, even I because I can't bear the pain of seeing him broken. He sacrificed everything for you yet you...", she cried and her legs collapsed from shaking too much.

Lucy knew how much Lisanna loves him so dearly. She knows that he is the world to her just like how Sting is to her now. But is that really her true feelings? Or the guilt is eating her away? She knew that she's the reason why Sting is like that right now. Someone who had turned into an emotionless person who rarely smiles.

Okay, NaLu fans and readers I apologize that in this chapter Sting was necessary but worry not it's not StingLu at all, but of course it is part of my story that Lucy developed feelings for Sting. The one thing to look forward is how it will turn to NaLu.
