Chapter 59

                                Devin's POV
She's now cold to the touch.

"NO! GABRIELLE!"

I called her parents and Ryker. Then I started doing everything I could think of to get her heart to start beating again.

"Come on! Baby don't do this!"

I held her close to my chest and just screamed.

"No no no no no no no no no no!"

Brenton: Mika just told me something. Look at her stomach.

I pulled her shirt up a bit. My heart broke even more.

She's pregnant?!

Oh god!

Now I'm losing my mate AND a pup!

I put my hand on her stomach and felt movement. I started crying.

"BABY NO!"

I grabbed her mini backpack. I wasn't allowed to go in the ambulance with her. There was no time to wait for her parents. I gave them Onyx's phone number and I followed the ambulance in Gabrielle's car. When I parked I ran into the ER. I saw them put her in a room. I ran over to it. I saw them working on her. A nurse saw me and walked over to me.

"Who is she to you? Are you her friend or boyfriend."

"Boyfriend! Her parents are on the way."

The nurse walked into the room then came back.

"I'm sorry. It doesn't look like we can save both of them. You have to chose."

"What?! Now?!"

"Yes. You have to chose now."

"Her! Please! Save her!"

"DEVIN!"

I turned and saw Onyx.

"I-I had to pick! Onyx they made me pick! She's pregnant!"

"What?! None of us knew that! I don't even think she knew!"

"Her wolf knew!"

We saw them taking her out of the ER room.

"Where are you taking her?"

"The OR then the ICU."

"Why the OR?!"

"We need to remove the baby."

We were brought to a waiting room. I remembered I had her bag. I took her phone out of the side pocket and ended the recording. I posted it.

"Destiny is watching Buck and Taynera. Ryker is packing up your things."

"I feel like I have to throw up."

Hours later she was put in a regular room.

"Destiny just texted me. She needs help getting all of your stuff home. Do you want to go or do you want to stay?"

"I gotta stay. Nyx I really have to be here."

Onyx left and I went into the room. I slowly walked up to the bed. She's on a ventilator.

Is this how I looked after I got shot?

I put my hand on her stomach and felt nothing.

"Gabrielle I'm sorry. They made me pick. I didn't want to. I know I picked right away but I had no choice. I wanted to save the both of you."

I put my head on her chest and started crying.

"Please don't go. I didn't die on you so you can't die on me."

She was still sleeping five days later. I ended up getting expelled but I really do not care. They were telling us we should think about letting her go. That's when I started screaming.

"Gabrielle you gotta wake up!"

On the day that was going to be our final day together I got on the bed and laid next to her. I cried while I held her. I felt fingers going through my hair. Then I felt someone scratching my head. I picked my head up.

"Gabby!"

I got up and went to tell someone she was awake. Then I called her family. When they took her off the ventilator I started hugging her.

"I love you!"

"I love you Dev."

"I'm so sorry! They made me pick!"

"That really happened? I wasn't just hearing things? I was pregnant again?"

"Yeah. Mika told Brenton and he told me. I put my hand on my stomach and felt movement."

"You were the first person to notice then. How's Bucky?"

"Confused. He doesn't understand why he can't see you. We just keep telling him that you're sick."

I called Destiny and asked her to bring Bucky to the hospital. When he got there he ran up to the bed and I put him on it.

"Hey little man!"

"Mommy!"

She started hugging him.

"I missed you pup. Devin what happened to me?"

"Wolfsbane."

"Really?"

"Yeah. You're really lucky."

"They were going to make us let you go."

She started hugging Buck tighter.

"Today was actually going to be your last day."

She sat up and put her hand on the back of my head to pull me closer. She pressed our foreheads together. At home she was told to rest a lot. All of us were grieving. I could tell this was affecting Gabby more. I still hate the fact I had to pick.

What if this is my fault?

I should've begged them to save the both of them.

"I don't blame you."

I put my head on her chest.

"I couldn't lose you. You're the first person to ever care about me."

She started scratching my head.

"I got expelled by the way."

"I'm sorry honey."

"It's fine. Everyone is bashing the school since I posted the video. They're fucked since you're 17."

"You ain't kidding."

I started playing with her necklace. Bucky walked into Gabrielle's room.

"Do you need help?"

I got up and helped him get on her bed. I laid back down. We both fell asleep hugging her.
Gabrielle's POV
Both of my boys were sleeping in my arms. I felt like something was missing.
