Pool Talks [OLD]

Nachio's POV

Y'know, apart from the whole 'teenagers forced to kill each other' thing, I would've wholeheartedly enjoyed playing in a pool with the others.

Mono-what's his name and that strange kid opened up a new area for use to explore. Aku, Azuse, and I decided to explore together. So far we only found another classroom, the pool and a "secret room" according to the robot cat plush.

As of right now, we're looking for clues on how to escape. Well *they* were but *I* was looking for any clues on the outside world. I mean, there's no way that Build-a-bear reject could put an *entire* school underground without some serious help.

I was going to ask those two weirdos from yesterday but, they could be working for that kid...plus that's a lot of work.

"Hey Nachio! Found anything yet?" Azuse walked up to me. I feel like my relationship with her has gotten a little better.

"Not sure what you want me find at a pool. It's just a large rectangle containing a lot of water." I shrugged. She didn't like that reply.

"Oh is that so? Why don't you check the inside too, just to be sure!" She snapped crossing her arms. She looked a lot more...angry than usual, if that's even possible.

"Are you feeling okay? You seem a little tense.." I asked her.

"Of course I'm tense! News Flash, we're in a killing game!"

"Sorry not tense. I meant you seem impatient. Like you're waiting for something."

Azuse blinked at me before looking away. I waited a few moments to see if she'd say something but it was silent. Speaking of silent, I looked around and found Aku on all fours, staring into the pool.

'He probably found something.' I turned back to Azuse and smiled.

"If you're worried about when the next murder is going to happen, you're more than welcome to speed up the process." I whispered to her.

Azuse snapped her head in my direction with a mortified expression.
"WHAT?"

"AH-"*splash*

With that, Aku slipped into the pool with a splash. Azuse and I ran over to him.

"Aku, are you okay?" Azuse threw her hand at him incase he needed it.

He rose to the surface, coughing and wheezing. More than that he looked confused.

"I'm fine... I think a found a code of some sorts." He pulled himself out of the pool.

"What was it?" I asked.

"Hmm, I think it said... '51 of ???'"

"51 of what?"

"Not sure. It was written on the inside of the pool."

"Ugh, that's weird." Azuse groaned.

"What's even weirder is that it's warm."

"The pool was warm?"

"Do you think it was used before this?" I asked.

"Most likely not," the short male sat next to us,"it's probably just Mononeko screwing with us."

"'Screwing with you?' Why I would never!" Mononeko appeared seemingly out of thin air.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." Azuse crossed her arms. This time her reason with being annoyed was shared between all of us.

"Me? The devil? Well.. I suppose you're not wrong. Seeing as to how I have to deal with you little shits!" He snarled.

"But nobody's forcing you to do this, just let us go!" Aku retorted back.

"Pupupupupu! Don't tell me you're going all soft! Have you finally reached your limit?" The stupid cat taunted.

"Besides, no matter how much you begged it wouldn't end." I sighed. I didn't *want* to side with Mononeko but he had a point.

"Huh? What are you going on about now?" Azuse snapped at me this time.

"All I'm saying is that the killing has already started! Might as well finish it now."

'Hmm, they didn't really like that answer. They're staring at me with this really scared expression...it's kinda funny.'

I suggest you hurry up, or I'll make *you* the subject in the next class trial.

'Okay okay, Mr. Bossy pants!'

"Well if you'll excuse me, I'm going to tap a well deserved nap! Bye now!" I left before they could say anything.

"A code, huh? Interesting."

I flopped down on my bed with a happy sigh. This bed is really soft!

"You think they've caught on just yet?" I asked him.

He shook his head. "Not...yet."

I rolled over with a groan. "There you go, being all mysterious again! Man, I so wanna kill you right about now!"

"Nothing's stopping you. Just know that you're technically a student too." He giggled.

"Ew, sometimes I forget just how much of a weirdo you really are!" I turned away from him.

'Geez this is bad. If I'm technically a student here, then I'm no better than a pawn on his chess board.'

I smashed my face into my pillow out of frustration.

'He probably enjoys this. This completely hopeless situation. No, seeing *me* in this hopeless situation.'
