Deadly Life: Part 1 [OLD]

1st POV

After returning to the dining hall, I sat down and stared at the table. I eventually started to daydream about random things. I kept daydreaming until I heard a faint scream.

It was... Ruriki's scream..

'Did she find Yuni?'

I thought as a ran to the source of the noise I heard. It was coming from the gym, so I ran there. When I got there I was met by Aku, Ridaa, Azusa, and Ruriki.

"Hey, what happened?"

They all turned to look at me and moved out of the way.

I looked at the middle of the gym...

Yuni was dead..

There was a lot of stab wounds on her body. So many it took me a while to realize it was her.

"Oh. She's dead now."

That was all I said. Don't get me wrong, I was sad. I just never knew about her until a day ago and this morning. Her death didn't really hit me all that hard, but she was a sweet girl.

A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time the class trial will begin! Please come to the gymnasium, asap.

After a long silence, other than Ruriki's panicking and light sobbing, everyone else came running in the gym.

"What happen- AHH! Is that Y-yuni?"

"T-this can't be happening!"

"Are we all going to die?"

"Who could've done this?..."

"WAAAHHHH! MY LIFE IS OVER!"

"Stop panicking! If you panic, I panic!"

Every kept yelling and crying, almost to where it became unbearably annoying to me. After a few minutes, everyone calmed down finally.

"O-oh hey! Sorry I had to use the bathroo- WAh! Someone's dead!?"

Asta walked in and covered her mouth in shock.

Almost everyone ignored her, which is understandable. Someone was dead...

"Well... I guess we have to investigate now..."

Aku stopped playing his game for once. He looked up at everyone with a serious and cold glaze.

"I doubt Mononeko is going to explain the rules now. He's probably to lazy or something. We have to find the killer!"

"How do we know it wasn't Mononeko?"
Asta suggested.

"He can't!"
Ridaa countered.

"... Ah. So it was one of us..."
I said not too quietly but load enough for everyone to hear me.

"Great, then let's just do a majority vote now. We'll have a class trial later, right? I think it's best we point out our suspicions now.."
Rio suggested.

Though the idea sounded dumb, nobody argued and started to point fingers.

Aku pointed at Rio.
Asta pointed at Taniri.
Taniri and Azusa pointed at me.
Samuel pointed at Rio.
Ridaa pointed at Azusa.
Ruriki and I pointed at Asta.
Rio pointed at Taniri.

The rest just looked around.
Asta looked at me almost heartbroken, but I was about doze off at this point.

"Okay.. Now that it's out of the way, we need two people to guard the body!"
Aku stated going back to playing his game.

"Taniri and... Imi. You two are on guard duty."

The two nodded and stood protectivly around Yuni's body while also respecting her... Somehow.

"Okay so now we can start-"

"Wait wait wait!"

Rei was quickly interrupted by.. A child's voice? It wasn't like Mononeko's voice... It was more bored and childish.

"Who thinks they can interrupt me?!"

"Shut it, you humanoid megaphone!"

Soon, someone jumped from behind the stadium. They were holding Mononeko infront of their face and was my height thankfully.

Everyone stares in shock... Well some of us. The teenager then brings the build-a-bear, well cat, reject down from their face but still covers their mouth.

"Heeheehee, the first murder happened and I didn't even show a motive yet! You guys sure are exciting me!"
They spoke happily.

"Are you the mastermind?"
Taniri yelled at the teenager on the stage.

They just giggled.
"Heeheehee, what a waste of a question. Well, I guess you can say I'm the new Mastermind..."

"New? What do you mean by that?"(666 words!) Asta asked worriedly.

"Aww, don't bore me! You should know that one of you used to be the mastermind that built this game in the first place. I just took over because the rules were broken before it even started. But let's not worry about that now! You need to investigate, good luck!"

They ran off... Leaving us in a new found despair...

(??? POV)

'Don't bore me! I just want you to feel my despair... and I'll do anything to see it!'

I began to laugh softly.

'Even if it means putting in a never ending cycle of death... I will see that despair...'
