"Hope's Peak Academy is the most prestigious school in Japan. It's such a high level school that you can't even enroll. The school has to recognize your talent and invite you. This school was admired by many but only some were chosen. Others decided to sign in for the Reserve course instead. Just to feel special in a way but all they got was discrimination and strong feelings of jealousy. The Reserve course students were used to fund a project; the Kamakura project.

The idea was to resurrect the genius behind the origin of the school. Izuru Kamakura, the founder of Hope's Peak Academy, also known as the Ultimate Hope. But the title of the Ultimate ultimate would suit him better.

Alas, it would be this project that would cause the downfall of the Academy and with the help of one teenage girl, the biggest, most awful, most tragic event in human history.

Lead by the Ultimate Despair sisters, Junko Enoshima and Mukuro Ikusaba. They were able to achieve this with the help of the 77th class, Izuru Kamakura, Ryota Mitarai (against his own will), Chisa Yukisome (also against her own will), and a group of kids in Towa City. Amongst this tragedy, Junko was able to start 3 total killing games. 2 of the 3 failed. Only 1 was lead by the Future Foundation leader, ironically.

Despite all this despair, one symbol of hope stood in the way of Junko's plans; his name is Makoto Naegi. You may now know him as the Ultimate Hope but before he was titled the Ultimate Luckster. Also known as today's principle of Hope's Peak.

Long story short, Makoto was a survivor of Junko's 2nd killing game where both her and her sister died. Makoto and 5 others went on to stop the Remnants of Despair with the Future Foundation. They obviously succeeded in doing so as I wouldn't be telling you this if he hadn't. However there have been multiple tellings that there are still Remnants roaming around in secret.

Years later, a more refined and polished older prototype of Hope's Peak was found by an artist. Said artist told his builder friend about the building and decided to make it a school for suffering students. Students that had run away or that were in need of help could stay at that school.

Eventually the school was built secretly away from society. Records of the two couldn't be found unfortunately.  It was all well until a tragedy struck. A student has forced another to kill his classmates. The artist was devastated but he didn't want the school to be broken down by the government so he hid the slaughter away. It was kept a secret for years and only the two students and the artist know.

Skip to present time, two students are trying to convince a police officer that a colorful robot animal with be the indirect cause of the slaughter of multiple students at this so called secret school. Did I miss anything?"

The two boys at the back of the police car had stayed silent for a moment. They seemed to be communicating with each other by their glances. Eventually, one spoke up.

"Do you believe us?" The one with the strangely cut brown hair and teal jacket asked nervously. Obviously not a people-person from what the police girl could tell.

She sighed, "Well with the whole tragedy that happened years ago, I can't really say I don't."

Their reaction was positive and relived. The one with white hair spoke this time.

"What about you?" He was talking to the girl in the passengers seat; her younger sister. She had been twiddling her fingers together as she listened to the conversation.

"Why shouldn't I? Were both from Towa city after all." She confessed softly. The boy just hummed and leaned back in his seat.

There was a pregnant silence after that. Just a few bumps here and there but it was mostly silent.

"Is this it?" The police girl stopped her car at a trail in a forest. The two boys looked out the windows before confirming. The four exited the car and walked along the trail. The police girl had let the two boys lead since they seemed to know where they were going.

"Oh, police girl-" the white haired boy turned around only to be shortly interrupted.

"Hanako." She corrected.

"Right. I'm sorry but I don't think you can come in."

She stopped abruptly, causing everyone to stop as well. She'd saw this coming but it was still a little strange to her.

"The system won't let you in. It recognizes certain people by a scanner. Once it matches you face with any of the authority, the alarm will go off." He explained.

"What about my sister?" She struck a sassy pose. He turned to her with a thinking face. His friend offered an idea.

"We can tell them that she feels unsafe with her parents constantly pestering her. Or that her actions are that of a remnant." He said softly. They pondered that idea but Hanako shook her head.

"Are you sure that'll work?"

"That's a more common backstory than you think. Besides, all we have to do is make it seem really sad by adding on with some abandonment from her older sister and we're all done!" The other boy waved her off with a confident smirk.

It took some thinking over but eventually Hanako gave in. Before she let them take her sister into this secret academy, she hugged her sister tightly. She gave her a parting gift as well.

"Whatever you do, do *not* die. Stay neutral, and fight when it's necessary. Do I make myself clear?" Her words were stern but there was a bit of worry. The younger girl only smiled.

"Don't worry. If anyone tries anything, they won't know what hit 'em!" Hanako only laughed and patted her shoulder.

"You've still got those cheesy responses, huh Chika?"

"Hey-!"

"You two."

The two boys turned to the police girl. Her stern expression making sure to put them in their place.

"Anything happens to my sister, I'll kill you two, understand?" With a warning so cold it sent chills down their spines, the two only responded with a nod.

And with that, the police girl had left. The trio had now arrived to the Academy. It was covered in foliage and looked like a regular abandoned school building. The trio walked into the building and into the girl's bathroom much to Chika's surprise.

"Hang on! That's the-"

"Don't worry about it, come on." The more talkative boy shushed her and dragged her into the cramped stall. It began to rumble until a door opened to reval a hallway. It was a dark hallway.

"You're not afraid of the dark, are you?" He teased still holding her arm. Chika didn't answer him but followed as they walked through the hallway. Apparently, the door had closed on its own after some time of walking.

Soon after they were stopped by another door. The white haired boy narrowed his gray/yellow eyes with a teasing smile. His hand grasped the doorknob and slowly began to turn it.

"You ready?" He asked Chika. She gulped nervously and nodded. He pushed open the door and her eyes were assaulted with bright carnival lights. The sound of an arcade and roller coaster flooded her ears.

She opened her eyes reluctantly and took in the sight in front of her. There was a huge building covered and surrounded in bright lights and games. It was like a carnival of sorts.

The two boys were illuminated by the bright colors. They turned to her and welcomed them with their hands.

"Welcome to Hope's Fall Academy, Chika."
