Prologue [OLD]

Hope's Peak Academy...

The elite school...

Known to be one of the best schools in Japan...

or so that's what everyone says.

To me, it's just another huge school.

"What a pain... Such a large school.... I hope they have an elevator."

Oh. I was supposed to introduce myself, right? Yeah... I'm Nachio Chinaki. Now, I remember walking towards to school doors. I had just put my hand on the handle and then...

I passed out... Guess I should sleep more.

"ake up.."

"Wake.. up"

"WAKE UP!"

I finally opened my eyes to an desk. Well, that's what it looked like. I was sitting down with my head on my desk. Lifting my head up lazily, I looked at my surroundings. A... classroom? 'What am I doing here?"

"Hey! You awake?"

I looked back to the girl in front of me. She had long light purple hair with one pink steak in the front tied to a ponytail with a reddish bow. A pink shirt and a light pink skirt and reddish leggings. Not to mention, her brown eyes.

"I wish I wasn't.." I replied trying to go back to sleep. But she just had to pat me.

"Hey! Get up, I have to introduce myself. Besides, we need to meet up with everyone else!"

"Fine... you introduce yourself while I sleep..."

"Hey, what's wrong with you?"

"What would you expect from the Ultimate Sloth?"

"Ultimate Sloth? Oh, I'm Asta Koyuki, the Ultimate Ballerina!"

Ballerina? Uh, okay then.. wait did she say "everyone else"? Please tell me there's only two more people....

"Uh... how many 'others' are there?" I asked nervously. As if I wasn't already nervous, I'm talking to a girl other than my own mother. Wow, I sound lonely but I guess living with your only pet dog *is* kinda lonely...

"Hey, you didn't introduce yourself!" She shot back as I stood up. What was sad was that she was taller than me...by two inches...

"Oh... right. I'm Nachio Chinaki. That's...really it."

"Okay Nachio, to answer your question from earlier... there are fourteen other students here!"

Not one...not two... not even four, but *fourteen*? I'm pretty sure I almost fainted.

"Please tell me I'm dreaming..."I pleaded quietly.

"Hmmm, nope! Sorry, are you not very social?"

"....Yeah... I'm not sure how to handle other people.."

She just nodded. It was quiet for a moment. It seemed liked she was thinking of something....wonder what it was..

"Okay! I'll do the talking and you just follow me, okay?" She suggested happily.

"Oh.. you don't have to..."

"I insist!"

She's stubborn, isn't she?

"....Fine, lead the way." I gave in, pulling my teal hood over my head.

'Maybe... she won't be so boring. Maybe... but that's just my hope speaking. That reminds me... did I put my waffles in the oven again?'

After five minutes out of the classroom and into the weird hallway, we soon found another student. He was shorter than me... not that it mattered because my self-esteem was still in the gutter.

"Hey, Aku! I found the last student." She walked up to him.

He looked from her to me and to her again.

"So, you found your boyfriend already?~ Aww, I was starting to like you.." he whined like a child.

"H-hey! We *just* met. He's not my boyfriend-"

"-yet..heehee."

"Stop that!"

The two continued to argue, thankfully forgetting me. I started to back away slowly. Unfortunately,  Aku noticed.

"Hey you! Don't go yet.. you haven't introduced yourself to me."

'So close..'

"..Right.. sorry. I'm Nachio Chinaki the Ultimate Sloth..."

He smiled mischievously. 'Yeah, my Ultimate sucks...no need to tell me...'

"Okay, Nacho Cheese.."

'Nacho Cheese!?' I blushed in embarrassment. 'I didn't know it was that similar...'

"My name's Aku Meguno the Ultimate Gamer! Bow before me peasants!"

Aku had white hair on the left and dark purple on the right. A blue shirt with red and cyan designs and white gloves. Also grey shorts with bright red sneakers. Oh and he had pink eyes, forgot about that part...

"Do you actually want me to bow or..." I asked, still not taking off my hood.

Asta quickly grabbed my shoulder.

"Please don't take what Aku says seriously.. you'll regret it." She stared at me.

"Oh Asta.. sweet innocent, Asta. You know some things I say *are* with good intentions!"

Asta glared at him to 'shut up'. She looked scary but at that time all I could think was...

'I'm kinda sleepy.'

Aku gave up.

"Fine, fine I'll leave now. See you later, Nacho!"

He waved and walked away.'He didn't seem all that bad...maybe a little weird but that's not a problem really.'

Asta quickly turned to me putting both hands on my shoulders. I jumped back a bit, shocked at her sudden movement.

"Okay, Nachio! One down, thirteen to go. You can do this!"

She was so close to me face that I could basically feel her blushing. It took her a moment before she got off me.

"Sorry! Let's go!"

"..Yeah...o-okay.."

I followed Asta on the very tedious journey of introducing myself to the thirteen other students here.

"Alright... their all gone..."

We only succeeded to introduce me to three people. Aku, Rikama, and Yuni.

'What a pain...'

"Well, that's odd. Maybe they called a meeting somewhere..."Asta recommend.

That seems like the most reasonable thing. Then... it happened..

Hello you freak of natures! Is this working? Oh whatever... I need you all to come to the gymnasium pronto!

'An announcement? Also.. that voice... sounds so... annoying.' I hoped that it wouldn't be one of the students I failed to meet.

"Well, we should go just in case..." Asta became worried.

"Wait, isn't it just one of the students?"

"No..not even Aku's voice can be *that* annoying. Let's just go, okay?"

I nodded and followed Asta to the gym which happened to be not so far from where we were standing. Once we entered to gym though... I the amount of hostility in the room was so much that you could *see* it.
