Anna Hall
"Miss Anna, wake up. You'll be late for work or else", my maid said as she woke me up.
"Mm-hmm... I'm sleepy. Go away, Ms. Price", I said. I was still sleepy. I didn't wanna wake up!
"I will. But you have to wake up. Wake up now, come on", she said rather a bit loudly.
"Okay fine... I'm up", I said yawning.
"Good girl. Now, your sister had called half an hour back. Why don't you start your day by calling her?" she asked me. "And I'll go and get your breakfast ready", she said.
"Yeah, sure", I replied smiling.
I picked up my phone, dialed Rita's number, and called her.
"Hey Ri", I said as she picked up the call.
"Hello! You've forgotten me since the wedding. Huh?" she asked.
"No no. I was busy and so I couldn't...", I was saying when she cut me off.
"Relax. Your brother-in-law wouldn't leave me to talk with you too", she said laughing.
"Lol. How's married life?" I asked.
"It's nice. Ben's great and he's like a friend and a typical husband", she said rather sadly.
"Why typical?" I asked curiously.
"Because if I text with someone, he gets suspicious. Like last week, I was texting our cousin, Brad and he thought I was... well, let's stop talking about me. How are you?" she asked me.
"I'm fine. And Ri, don't worry. He just cares about you", I assured her.
"I know. When are you planning to come home?" she asked.
"Sometimes. I can't right now. my schedule's packed. But I'll come soon", I told her.
"Ok fine. Anyways I gotta go work. You go get ready too. Have a nice day! Bye!" she said in a hurry.
"Thanks, you too! Bye", I said and the call ended.
I miss everyone. That's for sure but I don't wanna go back. I don't wanna see dad. He just controls my life and I'm not a puppet to be done so! Anyway, do you all remember me? If not, Hi, I'm Anna Hall. I'm the sister of Rita Hall, the girl who just got married a couple of months ago. She's my big sis and she's the best. If you read about her, then you would know. If not again, let me bring you up to speed.
She just got married to the love and ex-enemy of her life, Ben Matthews. They're having, well, sometimes getting adjusted as you heard now.
We both are the daughter of Aaran Hall, the founder along with his best friend, Chad Matthews of America's No. 1 company- Halls and Matthews. It's a well-doing company. That I can tell you. They just retired a month ago and now Rita and Ben are the owners.
Ok now enough of them! You might know what profession I am in. What's that? Yeah, that's right. I'm a lawyer. Well, others say I'm America's best lawyer. I don't like to take the credit cause I'm only a lawyer to help innocent people. I have a dog, named Brownie. He's the sweetest. I'm 24 and single, not married yet. I do love someone, as you know, Adam. But, we can't love each other because our dads are enemies. How? Well, I'll tell you. Before I was born, my dad, uncle Chad and Adam's dad- Tony Jones, the owner of 'Jones and Co', were the best of friends. Dad and uncle were on one team and uncle Tony the other. But they never had any competition as such. Then how are they enemies you may think? Well, one time there was a very big project for which these two companies merged. Everything was fine until something happened. They started fighting in front of the media and all the important people who had come there. Rita and I were 12 and 11 respectively back then. To date, we don't know why they started to hate each other. Uncle Chad says that someone bought a misunderstanding between them. Just wish we knew who it was.
You know sometimes I feel like this enemies thing has spread a lot cause first my sister and Ben were but eventually fell out of it and that's good. Hope things work out for these two too.
Ah! This is cold. Sorry for the interruption but the water became cold suddenly. I had been taking a shower all this while. I've to go now to work. Hope you all got the story now. And last but not least.
I am Anna Hall and this is my story...
