"Well, I am your PRETEND HUSBAND," Adam said making me freeze in my spot.
"You're not a pretend husband if you've already put a ring on my finger," I said showing my finger which had the ring to him.
"But we have to pretend that we're not married," he stated.
"Yeah, you do make a point there. Ok fine. Let's move in together. I could use a roommate." I said.
"Okay. If our parents come, what shall we do then?" he asked.
"You should have had that all planned out genius." I teased.
"I'm thinking. Ok, when they come, we can exit through the backyard and go back to our house," he said making me nod my head as an ok.
"You can move into my house," I said.
"As if my house is a piece of garbage," he said.
"No no! That's not what I meant. I was just suggesting..." I was saying when he started laughing.
"It's ok. I'm just kidding," he said controlling his laughter.
"Hehe," I said.
"Ok, I'll go get my clothes," he said.
"Okay," I said.
Adam moved into my house. He was right about living together. I could use someone for emotional support even though it's the man whom I've gotten married to accidentally. We were officially living together. Well, I just hope this works.
4 months later
The living together was working. None of our parents came to visit us often. Only his and Ben's mom knew about what had happened in Vegas. They helped us a lot. Anyway, today there was a party for Rita and Ben as...Rita's pregnant!! I'm so happy for them. Dad was hosting a party for them today and Adam and I were invited too. Not together, separately. Obviously. The party was at 7:30 so I came home early to get ready and left for their house to help them with preparations.
"Hey, dad," I said as he opened the door.
"Hey, honey. Come on in," he said.
"Where's Ri?" I asked.
"She's getting ready upstairs. Go on," he said.
"Thanks," I said.
I went upstairs to see Brittany and another girl helping Rita get ready.
"Hey, Ri!" I exclaimed in joy when I saw her.
"Hi!! Finally, someone called me by my name," she exclaimed.
"Lol. Don't worry. I got your back sis." I said.
"Funny, since I should be the one saying that," she said and sat down and signaled me to do so too.
"Anyway, I love your outfit," I said.
"Thank you," she said.
"So, how are the preparations going mommy?" I teased.
"It's going well. And stop calling me mommy. Your goddaughter is still yet to be born. Then you can tease me all you want." she stated.
"Why? Worried the title will make you feel old." I teased.
"Anna!" she shouted and threw a pillow at me. "So, tell me, how is it going with Adam?" she asked. Now her teasing has started.
"Nothing's going on. Ok?" I assured her.
