"The court is adjourned." The judge said and got up, we all got up too.
Finally, the divorce is done. We're no longer together anymore. I don't know if I'm relieved or disappointed cause Adam didn't speak to me even after we came outside so I thought of saying something to him.
"Hey, Adam," I said.
"Hey." He said in a dull tone.
"So,..." I started when his dad came. Seriously? Let us talk.
"Adam, we need to go over the wedding details again." He said to him.
"Sure dad. Sorry, Anna. We'll talk later. Ok?" Adam said to me. What?
"Ok. Sure. By..." I was saying when he went away.
He just left without saying bye. I think I've hurt him very badly this time. But this is the right thing to do. I stood there and watched him drive away.
"Hey, Anna," Dad said as he called me from behind. So I went there.
"Hey, dad," I said in a dull voice.
"Are you okay?" He asked me worriedly.
"Yeah yeah. I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I told him.
"I'll drop you home. Come on." He said.
"Dad, can I stay with you guys until I go to LA?" I asked him.
"Sure honey. Are you sure?" He asked me because I've never wanted to stay with them. But this time, I feel like I want to.
"Yeah. I want to spend some time with you guys before leaving." I said.
"I'd love that my little sister." Rita, who was listening to us, said.

It had been a week and everything... was the same. That sadness remained in my heart. But, with my family, I tried to hide it.
"So, got everything planned out?" Rita asked as we were going over the last things to pack.
"Yeah. The office and everything else are set up. Just need to be there tomorrow." I said as I was zipping the first suitcase. But then, Rita started crying.
"Ri? What's wrong? Why are you crying?" I asked her as I tried to console her.
"You're leaving me again. Huh?" She asked me.
"What? No. Of course not. I'll visit. Won't I?" I asked her.
"You're not a guest to visit. You're my sister." She said.
"Well, a bird has to eventually leave its nest," I told her.
"Anna, what has gotten into you lately?!?" She scolded me.
"What do you mean?" I asked her.
"Well, first you're mad at dad, and then forgive him. Second, you fix everything between Adam's dad and ours. Third, you say you're not in love with Adam and cut off your relationship with him." She stated.
"I did what I had to do. Ok? I just don't wanna be with him." I said.
"Then why did you do all this if you didn't wanna be with him? What are you getting from all this?" She questioned me.
"I don't know! Ok? I just don't why I did all this!" I shouted at her. She's pregnant Anna. Get it together.
"What do you want then Anna?!?" She asked me loudly.
