Kissing a stranger

As I wake up I see that Minho is already gone, I get up, make the bed and get ready for the day.

I walk outside and see the greenie waving to me. I wave back and crack the first big smile of the day.

'Hey y/n' I hear Newt say.

'Hey, precisely the person I was looking for! Is there a chance we can talk for a moment?' I ask him.

He looks at me confused but says 'yes, of course, we'll go to my hut, after. You first want to get some breakfast?'

'Yea sure' I react and we walk towards the tables where we grab a plate and start eating.

After breakfast, we go to Newt's hut to talk. He sits on his bed and pats the spot next to him to let me sit too.

'What did you want to talk about' he starts.

'Minho thinks that it's all good again and that we are back together. I can't even remember who I am let alone how I used to be before, how WE used to be before. I want to start over but I have no idea how to tell Minho.' I rant and slight panic shows in my eyes.

'Hey hey hey, I'll tell him, I completely understand. I'm sure Minho will too!' Newt says as he hugs me soft.

I hug him back and wipe the upcoming tears away before they flow down my slightly pink cheeks.

We walk out and I look for the new greenie. I see him helping frypan doing the dishes. As I stand next to him I grab a few plates and begin to clean them.

'Oh no need, I got this' He says almost apologetic.

'Oh shut up and let me help you.' I say while I chuckle a bit.

Aris just react by smiling at me and continues. We finish twice as fast and we go for a walk.

'And? How's it going with the jobs, you already know which one you like most?' I ask Aris.

He nods a bit and says 'No, I like cooking, it's just boring. I'm looking forward to trying Med-jacks'

'How are you taking this so well? I was freaking out on my second day!' I laugh.

'I don't know, it just feels normal, we can't remember anything so why not make the best of it while we're here.'

I smile wide when I hear this optimistic view at the Glade, something I haven't heard in a while. It's refreshing.

We finally get back from a walk and I go by Jeff to ask if I could do something again.

He says that I should wait at least today. It's a little bullshit because I already feel better.

A little while later the runners one by one slowly come back. Also Minho and the second he's inside he runs to me.

'Hey!' He sounds a little out of breath.

'Hey' I say from a small distance.

As he comes up to me he gives me a big hug. I awkwardly hug back and sigh when he lets go. It gives me a loving kiss on my lips and I have never felt so uncomfortable.

I felt like kissing a stranger. Then my saver came to the rescue.

'Hey, Minho can we talk?' Newt asks while he walks over to us. They walk away and Aris comes to me.

'So... you and Minho, hé?' He says innocently.

I smile sadly and answer ' we used to, it's a long story but I lost my memory and can't remember us being together. I'm going to break up with him.'

'Oh, if you want you can talk about it to me!' Aris continues after an awkward silence.

I smile and nod.
