My alarm on my phone buzzes on my dresser. I allowed Brad to place it there so that way I would have to get up and force myself to get out of my comfortable bed.

I decided to wake Brad up early enough, since he isn't use to going and waking up for school.

"Shut up." I say to my phone as I press the button for the alarm to stop.

I immediately put on my comfy neon yellow crop top and high-wasted jean shorts.

I quietly tiptoe into Brad's room and pounce on his bed next to him. The bed follows the movement and wobbles.

"What?" Brad asks, his face still pressed against the pillow.

"Get up."

"Why? You have a car. You can drive." Brad asks.

"I know, but if I have to get up, then you have to, too." I say, throwing the covers off of him.

"Go. I'm tired and cold and I think that I have a headache." Brad complains.

"You can go back to sleep when I leave the house." I say and I head to the bathroom to get ready.

I do a simple fishtail braid for my hair and put mascara on my eyelashes. A little mascara goes a long way.

"I have to pee!" Brad bangs on the door with his fists, which makes me jump back.

"I'll be out in a minute!" I yell back at him as I lay my mascara down on the counter.

Brad slings the door open and I begin to laugh. His eyes were so droopy that I couldn't see his pupils.

"What?" He asks.

"Nothing. You can't just barge in on me like that. I could be changing or using the bathroom."I say.

"Oh, sorry. I'm not patient and I'm not used to having people in my house." He scratched the back of his neck and his cheeks go red from embarrassment.

I walk, holding back a laugh that is at the end of my throat. Already formed and ready to be giggled out.

I slip on my black converses and sling my book bag on my back. I grab an apple out of the kitchen and get my car keys.

"Brad, I'm heading out!"

"Alright!" He screams back.

~

I drop my book bag near my desk in homeroom and plop down.

"TV whore, television hog, motherless girl." People whispered.

"Hey, Maddie." Hannah and Sarah greet as they strut their stuff to their seats.

"Hey."

"Finally came back to school, huh?" Hannah asks.

"Yeah, I guess so." I say.

"Well, you didn't miss anything important." Sarah informs me.

The people that were whispering about me earlier are still whispering.

I begin to become hot-tempered and lose my patients.

"People are such assholes. They need to own up to who they are." I say loud enough for everyone to hear me.

And it worked, too. They all went silent and stopped whispering about me.

~

The bell rings for seventh period math and my excitement rises.

I head into Mr.Pervert's classroom and wait on Lizzy to walk through the door.

"Maddie!" She screams as she sprints to her seat behind me and plays with my hair.

"Alright class, lets get started." The teacher clears his throat. "And I see Maddie is back."

I nervously nod my head and stare at the blank white board.

~

"I'm home!" I scream

There was no answer, not even a creek in the floorboards.

"Brad!" I scream again, throwing my book bag on the floor in the
kitchen.

I search through the house, but no sign of Brad anywhere.
