Waking from a heavy slumber, Addison was first aware of the coolness within the air and its loamy fragrance. The branch beneath her was lumpy, as if she were lying on a bed of rocks. Clothes as damp as a flower in the dew of dawn. She half wondered if she was still dreaming as she sat up to take in the shafts of light that burst through the gaps in the leaves of taller trees above. Now awake, perhaps more fully awake than she'd ever been before, her two brothers nowhere to be seen. As far as she could tell, she was alone with the birds, who chirped their carefree song around her and in that sweet melody she felt more lost.

The memories of the past 2 weeks came back hard, causing her to feel as though she had been hit with a train of emotions. Without thinking, Addison shifted, her body slipping from the safety of her tree branch. Her fear felt worse than before she had fell, body landing harsher on a less sturdy branch a foot below. Slowly and cautiously, Addison adjusted her position, brushing down her now ripped and blood-stained jeans. Forcing a hand through her matted brown hair, she began to replay the events as her eyes scanned her surroundings. Sam's bag lay discarded underneath the tree opposite, letting out a sigh pulling her plaid shirt further over her loose-fitting tank top.

A frown fell across Addison's dry lips, irritated both her brothers up and left to do who know what, leaving the young girl in the tree on her own. She knows they'll be back, simply because their stuff remained scattered around their once lowly lit campfire.

"Finally, you're up Ads!" Sam's voice could be heard chuckling, breaking through a set of bushes and into view. As he reached down to grab his bag, his shirt rid up revealing his gun sticking out of his waist band.

"Where's Dean?" The question came out as a mumble, her words laced in an uncomfortable concern. Leaning back against the rough bark, her eyes fluttered shut as she waited for a response. Subconsciously, listening to the sounds of unusually quiet nature in the moment of silence.

"Headed back to check on the impala." His reply was short and concise, straight to the point as always. In though Addison ran her tongue over her dry lips, a trail of saliva left behind. If Dean had gone already, that meant Sam would want to follow just as quickly. An irritated groan ripped deep from the young girl's lungs, hazel eyes opening wide only to be burned with the brightness of sunlight.

Turning her body, legs hanging loosely from the branch high up in the tree. Leaning her whole-body forwards, gravity tugged her from the safety of the rickety branch. Leaves crunched under her scuffed black boots, as they made contact with the solid ground. Standing from her crouched landing, Addison grabbed her loaded quiver and packed rucksack from the base of the tree. Now ready to go, she glanced over at Sam.

His hand was already raised, holding out a small revolver for the girl to take. A soft smile stretched across her face, taking the weapon from her brother's grasp. Swiftly flipping on the safety, Addison slipped into the waist band of her dirty jeans, the metal cold against her bare skin. Despite Sam's quick pace, the young teen was able to catch up fairly fast; she pulled at her plaid shirt down, covering any evidence of the gun's existence. Weaving through the trees, the pair reached the edge of the treeline in silence. A single stretch of dirt road ran through, a familiar car visible on the other side of the fading white line. Addison released a breath she didn't realise she was holding at the sight of Dean, head down as he worked hard on trying to fix his beloved Impala.

Sam made it over first, instinctively opening up the boot. If Addison was to make a guess, she would say he was checking on all the weapons they had stored. Biting hard into her bottom lip, the brunette couldn't help but constantly scan her surroundings.

"Heads up, we've got incoming..." Addison's words were calm, but still it caught both her brother's attention. Reaching back into the quiver, she was able to pull out he bow and a single red feathered arrow. Loading the arrow in place, she tightened the string as she took aim. Without her gloves, the string to sting upon her bare skin on release. Effortlessly the arrow cut gracefully through the air, hitting its target with perfect precision. The walking corpse fell motionless to the ground, inches away from Dean's body. The oldest Winchester smiled proudly, unphased at how close the creature had gotten.

"I don't think this is a good idea..." Addison muttered under her breath, earning a nudge from Sam warning her to keep quiet. It was too quiet, not even a bird dared sing knowing all too well it would attract the dead. Boots made little noise against the leaf covered tarmac road, running directly down the centre of an abandoned town. Childishly rolling her eyes, the girl pulled the bow off her shoulder; knocking an arrow in place, ready to fire if anything were to go wrong.

Addison would always love her brothers, but that doesn't mean she has to agree with some of their choices. It's not because she doesn't trust them, far from it, on multiple cases had she literally trusted them with her life. But right now, looting a town just didn't seem right, a town that was once filled with people; who are most likely dead and now walking around.

"Remember... be quiet..." Dean reminded Addison by mumbling into her ear, patting her shoulder with his free hand, his other hand occupied with the machete that he used to use to chop off vampire heads.

"Well, no shit..." Addison grumbled only to earn a hit to the back of her head by Dean, despite the chuckle leaving his lips. A pensive frown held her features, as the three reached the first house. Addison's grip tightened on her loaded bow, she watched as her brothers entered leaving her on watch outside.

Despite being on high alert, a scream escaped her lips when a rough hand gripped her shoulder. Startled the girl. It's weight pushing her forwards, causing her to fall off the wooden porch. The bow slipped from her fingers, body crashing into the dust layered ground a weight pressuring on her body. With one hand holding the creatures snapping jaws from reaching her flesh, she struggled to grab the dagger she stashed earlier in her boot. It wasn't until her fingers brushed over the metal handle, did the girl release an aggravated cry. Tightening her grip, it was pulled out cutting the folded jean ends. Swiftly the blade was buried deep into the creature's temple, leaving the body to become dead weight over her. Tugging the dagger from its position, blood spewed out drenching her once clean outfit. Using a lot of energy, Addison was able to roll the corpse off. Standing she didn't bother to wipe away the blood, instead picking up her dropped bow and dislodging the arrow that now stuck out of the wooden porch.

It was the growing volume of the gurgling growls that alerted Addison that there were more. Raising her eyeline only to be met with a sight making fear fill her stomach. A large number of the dead emerged from behind the house. Staring at them she knows; she'd never make it into the house but she still had to warn her brothers.

"Dean, Sam!" Desperately, she yelled out their names. Her voice alone attracting the herd attention, but all the girl could care about was the safety of her two brothers. "It's a herd,"

A soft sigh slipped her lips, Dean's head appearing out the second story window. Addison waited as he forced open the rusty thing, subconsciously her feet backing her away. Even from this distance she could see the distress clear across his face, paining him so much.

"Jae Run, we'll find you I promise," He yells, his voice raised for the first time she'd ever heard pure panic in his voice. "Run!"

"I love you and Sam.." Addison calls out before turning on her heel and running off. Tears brimming her eyes, unsure of the next time she'd see her brothers again.
