The first thing Addison was aware of was the softness of the ground, shifting a striking pain shot through her thigh. Sluggishly the teenager forced her dark eyes open, body still as she shifted into a seated position. Looking around, the scenery was unfamiliar causing a sinking feeling to linger in the pit of her stomach. Any fear intensifying from the lacking presence of her two dogs, a single tear slipping down her cheek.

Wiping away the evidence of emotion, Addison quickly shook away the negative thoughts that had begun to creep into her mind. Instead, she chooses to focus on the room, it was bare and plain except for the bed in which she sat. Her bag had gone, including the small dagger from her boot leaving her dressed in only a medical gown. An aching pain rippling through her thigh, with every small movement. A sigh of relief flooded through the small girl, noticing that her clothes had been washed and placed in a pile at the foot of the bed. With a little more effort than usual, Addison was able to get changed and slip on her boots.

Despite being petrified, the brunette made her way over to the only door. Cautiously, Addison forced it open. Glancing down the hallway, she was surprised to find it empty. Taking her chance, no sound was heard from under her boots as she remained light on her toes. Reaching the opposite end of the hall, she pushed open the new door only to be blinded with bright sunlight.

It only took a second for her eyes to adjust the light, to see a town like scene busy with people. Addison was thankful that no one had yet noticed her presence, despite how much she stood out of place. Her hazel eyes gravitated towards the left, noting that the road was clear of people. A single yell helped to make her decision, without so much of a thought, Addison made a run for it. It was easy enough for the brunette to ignore the stinging sensation burning in her wounded thigh, but that didn't stop the clear limp in her steps.

A sudden force knocks Addison from her feet, body tumbling down onto the concrete road. She was barely able to hold back the yell that threatened to tumble from her lips, stabbing pain erupting from her wound. Pressure force Addison further into the ground, the moment she tried to stand. Using one of the skills that Dean had taught her, she threw her left arm back causing her whole body to role. For a split second, the person released their grip, allowing for Addison to shift position and pin them down. Addison was unable to prevent the soft gasp that slipped from her cracked lips, instantly recognising the blue eyes which now stared up at her. The girl showed no remorse as she kneed him hard in the private area, giving herself enough time to get up and run once again.

When the tall steel wall blocked her path, panic began to set in. People crowded round, blocking any possible escape route leaving the girl cornered with nowhere left to run. For the first time ever, tears Addison could feel herself start to cry in front of people.

"Please... Let me go." Her voice was meek, longing to be anywhere but here with them. Holding her hands out in front of her, the people could see her shaking from either fear or exhaustion, no one could be sure.

"We don't want to hurt you," An older man spoke, the jacket he wore showing that he was equivalent to the police around here. The same boy from before at his side, pulling the man backwards. "You'll get to see your dogs if you just calm down..."

"You remember me from earlier, right?" The boy asks slowly, stepping in front of the man his blue eyes fixed upon her. Still her eyes watched everyone around her but lingered more in the boy. "If I didn't hurt you then, why would I hurt you now?"

"I can't stay here, you don't understand!" Addison spoke softly to him, her voice going shy and timid. A tear slipping down her cheek, which she was quick wipe away.

Addison wasn't sure how long she had been sat there but still she hugged her need tighter to her chest. She held a blank stare at the lady named Maggie, who sat opposite a smile painted across her kind features. If it where before the apocalypse Addison would have thought she was a nice-looking lady, her pale skin not touched by wrinkles although slightly worn but her smile appeared friendly. Yet appearances can be deceiving, right?

"Do you mind if I record this?" She speaks, her pronunciation sounding rather southern and well lived as did her clothing. Addison remained silent but nodded, hazel eyes constantly roaming the room for any sign of danger.

The teenager waited as Maggie cleared her throat, gaze softening slightly. It was as if all she saw was a young girl, scared by the monsters but that wasn't Addison. Yes, she was scared, any sane person would be but her fear stemmed from losing her brothers, she felt like she was nothing without them.

"Can you please state your name?" Maggie asked, her words coming out slow and cautious, as if she were afraid that Addison would lash out and grow violent much like a wild animal.

"Addison Jae Winchester," Addison answered with a mutter under her breath, unsure whether or not that Maggie actually heard but the older woman nodded either way.

"How old at you?"

"14 maybe 15,"

"How many Walkers have you killed? -the dead-"

"Lost count!"

"How many people you killed?"

"...2!"

"Why?"

"It was either them or me, not like I had much of a choice."

"How long have you been out there?"

"Since the beginning..."

"How'd you survive this long, on your own?" She asks, her whole-body leaned forwards resting her weight on her knees. Her words made Addison tighten her grip around her legs, in an attempt to provide a sense of comfort.

"I didn't, I was with my brothers for the first 6 months before I lost them. I've been surviving my whole life, even before shit hit the fan..." Addison admitted solemnly in a grumble, a single tear falling down her face. But this time the teenager didn't move to wipe it, allowing it to continue on its way down her skin.

"I'm sorry..."

"There not dead, just missing!" Addison's words came off harsher than she had intended, but everyone always assumed the worse. Yet, Addison couldn't blame them, it does feel like the world is ending.

"Why don't you want to stay here?" She suddenly asks, causing Addison's head to snap in her direction. A pensive frown took a hold of the young brunette's features, eyes narrowing in disblelief. If Addison was to be brutally honest, she saw nothing good about this place.

"Your people are soft, clueless to the danger outside. One day your walls will fall, and I can't be here when that happens. I can't risk getting close to anyone here, it'll hurt too much to see anyone else die." The words the young girl spoke, softened the truth she wanted to say within a calm manor. "I have a question, can I leave?"

"I'm sorry, but we can't send a 14-year-old girl out there alone... it's not right!"

Hey Readers,

Finally, I've put in names to a Walking dead character, I've always loved Maggie. I feel as though the relationship between her and Glenn in the actual TV show shows how a solid relationship should be in real life. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. If you enjoyed the chapter, feel free to vote and comment to show your support.
