"So that's your brother?" Carl questions, as Addison hands Judith over to Rick. In response all she does in nod, a smile playing at her lips. His blue eyes held a wonder, staring up at the man who raised Addison. It was as if a sudden wave of realisation hit, dark eyes widening as she turned on her heel towards Dean. Trying to formulate the best ways to ask the questions on her mind.
"What happened to Sam? Did you find Bobby? Was Castiel able to find you? How about Gab..." Questions fell out into a ramble, wanting to know everything since she had split up with her brothers. Dean emotionally appeared moved with the more questions that were asked, making the teenager cut herself off. Tears pricked at her eyes, the worst thoughts flooding her mind; with the pained look across his face, it was something she wasn't used to seeing.
Ever since Addison was a little girl, she taught herself to always be prepared for the worst. With the Winchester family business it was easier, knowing all too well hope leads to excruciating pain. In front of her father, emotion was a weakness, so the only time she let herself slip was when she was alone. Only once had Addison broke down in front of Dean but that only happened when Sam was at Stanford and it all just became too much.
"I lost Sam maybe a few months after you, we got separated by a group of people who tried to steal our stuff. Couldn't find Bobby, or Cas..." By the time he reached Cas, a few loose tears had slipped down his cheeks. It's sticky trail glowed from the natural light, braking through the clean looking glass window.
"Cas visited me before leaving to find you guys... that was about five days ago." Addison mumbled making Dean's features momentarily light up in hope, the idea Cas might still be alive. "How are you surviving without Baby?"
The girl couldn't help the chuckle which tumbled from her lips, a light smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. Her elder brother frowned, mostly likely due to a saddened memory of his beloved car. That car was always his prised possession, and Addison was sure that Dean would have sacrificed her and Sam for that classic car of his.
"Baby?" Carl questioned my choice in words, slightly confused. His head tilted to his left, longish brown hair falling over his features. Still his bright blue eyes glistened through his dark locks, staring towards Addison in confusion. The young girl couldn't help but find his actions cute, like a small child.
"Oh, don't remind me..." Dean grumbled, rubbing his hand over his face. A sadden smile forced its way across Addison's pink lips, 'baby' may only be a car but it was home. The only constant thing tying us down to the earth, the only evidence of our existence. "We had to leave her a Bobbys place, at least if we get through this we know where she is!"
Smile faulting for a second, the expression across Dean's features telling his little sister all she need to know. Growing up with him, Addison learned quickly the true meanings hidden behind his forest green eyes. She should have known before that he wasn't going to stay, but the girl was blinded by pure joy. A sickening feeling began to stir in her stomach, glancing at Carl only to bring pain. Wherever Dean planned on going, he wasn't going alone... There's no chance the littlest Winchester was loosing him again, not even Chuck himself could stop me.
"How long ?" Dean asked, direction his question towards his sister. Not understanding why Addison was in a place like this, it being out of majorly out of character.
"A few weeks... I didn't want to stay at first, Crowley brought me here and shot me to keep me here."
"You trusted Crowley?"
"I was alone and desperate..." Addison mumble the words under her breath, not wanting him to think any less of her. The scowl across his features told her differently, mentally questioning if she was still strong enough to defend herself. His lips parting as if he were about to speak, but no words passed out. Knowing Dean, Addison knew what he wanted to say, and personally it hurt to think that she hadn't remembered her training.
"You think I forgot?" Her question tumbled out in a scoff, laced in a pained tone at just the mere thought. The idea of loosing his trust hurting her more than any foster ever could. "That isn't something you forget!"
"I didn't..."
"No, you think I've forgotten everything you and Sam taught me?" Addison yelled out, shoving Deans chest. He stumbled back, but the girl unsure whether it was her strength, or from the shock of her loud outburst. Pointing an accusing finger towards him, eyes narrowed in disbelief, "Weren't you the one who left me alone when you thought Sam was dead! You had Lisa and Ben... you grew rusty... but I never thought you'd forget... it's not like the things engraved into our minds was something you could forget!"
"Addie!"
"No! I spent everyday wondering how I was to find you and Sam, I'm not a little kid anymore Dean... I never had a safe childhood, dad wanted nothing to do with me and my mum... well, she's dead. You are all I have left, and you loosing hope gives me nothing left!" By now Addison could feel her body was shaking with emotional pain and anger, taking a deep breath as she teared her gaze from her elder brother. Avoiding his gaze, she pushed past him and slipped out the door in which he came in. Right now all she needed to be alone, leaving behind everyone in the house.
Dear Readers,
The chapter I had compromised is complete, with tension rising between the two Winchester siblings. Just a repeat of what I mentioned in the Chapter I published yesterday, I haven't forgotten about the story and I promise you all I haven't abandoned it but over the next few months will be irregular as I have to really start to focus on my upcoming exams.
