Once the screaming stopped, Dabi lifted turned off his flames. He was shaking.
He did it.
He beat his father.
He accomplished his goal.
Endeavor was dead.
He had been cremated.
Dabi stood up as quickly as he could, he knew the News Cameras were watching--they always were. He needed to escape. He hobbled through the deep smoke, which smelled of burning flesh and death, and began walking through alleyways.
He held his broken wrist to his chest and ignored the pain that flared from his ribs, legs and hand.
He definitely had broken bones, but that won't stop him from running away. He had a high pain tolerance anyways.
He found some trees in the distance and began making his way towards them. He could tell the smoke and partially cleared out, as a loud yelling was heard from behind him. The backup had arrived.
Whether they were going after him or just now finding the corpse of Endeavor, Dabi didn't know. He also didn't want to find out.
Reaching the forest, he ran inside to the best of his abilities. He was exhausted, running on adrenalin. He was tripping over grass, vines, and his own two feet. He could feel a searing hot pain enveloping his body. But he only had one thing in mind.
I have to get away.
The League had seen the fight on the main room's television. Everyone was silent as the smoke was cleared out. Toga was biting her nails, hoping Dabi was okay.
Shigaraki remained stone faced with a slight bit of worry behind his eyes.
Mange and Spinner were seated next to each other, having grown closer over their ideals. They knew Endeavor was a corrupt hero but they didn't know how to feel about seeing both their League member and the hero beaten into pulps.
They partially wanted to cheer for Dabi. But they also knew that Dabi was injured to the point of nearly bleeding out.
Kurogiri was back at his bar and cleaning glasses, yet maintaining eyecontact with the screen. Compress was at the bar looking at the screen silently while drinking a glass of water with a bendy straw.
The League's hideout was uncannily silent. It sent shivers down Toga's spine. The silence just seemed so...
Unnatural.
They watched as the smoke cleared out. The wind-quirked heros were dispersing the smoke, and the officers were searching for civilians. Thankfully there was only a handful who were caught up in the thick fog, and they were promptly escorted to ambulances.
Then there was an ubrupt scream. All heros, officers, and civilians paused to turn their heads to the noise. The cameraman panned to the scene in the middle of the street.
Reaching noises were heard as people laid eyes on the screen.
Endeavor's body was brunt to a crisp, over half his bones and muscles had caved in and the other half was a gaping rift. It was as if the hero had been ripped in half, however that was not the case.
Endeavor had been burned to the point where half of his body was cremated. Ash and miniscule sections of his organs were displayed around his corpse. Deep red blood pooled around the hero from his other injuries. The blood looked so sickening that even Toga had to hold back a gag.
