Eventually the curry was finished and plated for the teens. It took five too many tries but at least it was finally edible.
Though the final attempt was done by Bakugo, who was actually skilled in the cooking department.
Bakugo had joined their group on occasions beforehand so being with him civilly wasn't completely unusual. But Midoriya was the one who invited the explosive teen. And he blonde would sometimes come and sometimes not. Either way, he was close with their group as well, though not as close as Todoroki, Koda, and Midoriya were.
Afterall, there are multiple types of friendships. Especially within the class itself.
Todoroki seated himself between Tsu and Bakugo. The latter had even handed the plates out before sitting down.
They ate their meal in relative silence. But it was amazing. Bakugo, being able to take social ques, didn't make the curry spicy like usual and instead catered to normal tastebuds who had not built a tolerance to peppers.
Then he dumped a bunch of diced peppers into the leftover bowl and mixed it before plating his own.
A chorus of thank yous were given to the blonde.
He merely nodded.
Once finished, Todorki and Iida decided to do the dishes. They stood over the sink as the rest of their group moved to the common room. Todoroki could hear the rest of the class coming down to relax in the main room as well.
He grabbed the scrubbed dish Iida handed him, before rinsing off the suds. They had a system.
And it was working fairly well.
There was a soft knocking coming from the front door.
The guest is here?
Todoroki looked up at the time, it was a little past 4:15.
"Who on earth is knocking on the door at this time of night? It is too late and is a distraction to the class's rest." Iida handed his sudsy plate to Todoroki and then stomped his way over to the dorm entrance.
I mean they are a little late.
Todoroki finished rinsing off his dish before setting it down on the counter. He moved over to a towel to dry his hands.
"Who--who are you?" Asked a frightened teenager. Mina was not expecting a greenette to open the door with a couple platters in her hand.
Todoroki heard a soft tapping and then a sigh.
"Hello! My name is In--"
Todoroki zoned out at the sound of her voice. Izuku had taken him to his house and the hetochromatic boy was welcomed with open arms. He was always fed, hugged, and loved at the Midoriya household.
He couldn't resists the urge to go to Mrs. Midoriya. It was as if a force pushed the teen from his spot on the floor. Todoroki stumbled towards the door, chucking the towel behind him as he ran. He dodged some classmates and slid a few times but he practically jumped into Inko's arms.
His eyes were watering and he was shaking. Inko immediately wrapped her arms around the younger teen and swayed side to side slightly.
Todoroki was taller than Inko, looming over her slightly. But he had wrapped one arm around her shoulder and the other around her neck, holding the back of her head. Their heads were touching as he began to sob.
"Oh you poor, poor child." Inko whispered. "It's okay, I'm here now." She patted his back before rubbing soft circles in it.
It felt nice...
