Chapter 9: Out in the open (Jamie's pov)

Lunch at school 2 days after the call was a little strange...Taylor and Oli have been staring into each other's eyes the entire time and they even went to the bathroom together. Usually Oli prefers going without any friends.

Becca finally notices what I have been seeing, "You guys are acting really weird. What's going on? You guys have never been this close."

"We just want to have a stronger friendship. I just need to hang out with him more often!" Oli is a terrible liar so we can tell that something else is obviously going on.

Taylor gets up to throw out his tray but he takes Oli's for them.

"Are guys like dating or something?" Keith asks sounding like he's saying a joke.

Oli looks over at Taylor and takes a deep breath. "I'm not gonna answer that. I promised I would keep secrets. But I would never keep mine and Tay's relationship a secret so if we were dating, you guys would be getting a yes right now!"

Tay comes back to the table "oh uh, I want to tell you guys something" Oli's eyed widen.

"What's wrong Oli? About to get proven wrong?" Keith asks

Oli scoffs at all of us "Just let Taylor talk"

"So uh...yesterday..." we see him looking over at Oli every few seconds, they try to cover up the smile on their face. "Oli and I...started dating..." he grabs Oli's hand and kisses them on the cheek.

"WTF OLI?! YOU JUST SAID YOU WERE NOT DATING HIM!" Becca remarks. "But you said 'if we were dating you'd be getting a yes right now', so unbelievable!"

"Taylor told me last night not to tell you guys yet. I was completely comfortable with telling you guys but I wanted him to make the move since he was the one who was uneasy about it!"

Keith is distracted as a new guy walks in with Aliyah and Avery. I could see why he looked lost. Aliyah had her arm linked tightly around this guy's arm. "Fucking bitch!" He mutters under his breath.

Becca slaps him on the back of the head, "What did I tell you? WATCH YOUR MOUTH AROUND CHILDREN!"

I am the youngest out of all of us and originally supposed to be a grade lower so I knew Becca had been referring to me. "Shut the fuck up right now!" I laugh

Keith is still distracted by Aliyah and the new guy. His jaw drops when Aliyah stares Keith directly in the eyes and kisses the new guy. He obviously pushes her off of him. But the kiss had still happened. He is so upset, he grabs all of his stuff and leaves. I don't blame him. If I saw that I was getting cheated on, I would wanna leave the room too. The new guy follows him out into the hallway.

"Oh shit, that sucks...good thing I don't date at all". Becca states

"Are you serious? He just got cheated on and you're just stating how 'lucky' you are? You're his sister! How about you go out there and help him get through this!" I snap

Becca grabs her stuff and walks out to comfort Keith. We can't hear anything but we can see them through the small window next or the doors. Keith wipes under his eyes and hugs Becca. Then he goes to hug the guy.

"Who even is he anyways, I know he's new but still, who is he?"

Taylor heard my question but is trying to put something together "I have no clue, but he looks very familiar...wait!"

Taylor and Keith have been friends since Pre-K so if anyone knows someone Keith knows, Tay can tell who it is. So when he says he recognizes him, I think maybe he's just an old friend of Keith's?

"Corey?" Taylor sounds shocked. Oli and I are left shocked as well. The guy Aliyah cheated on Keith with, was Corey! Keith's ex boyfriend!
