It was announced that we’d be going to the USJ today on one of UA’s busses. Iida tried to micro manage, but it blew up in his face.
I wound up sitting next to Todoroki-kun, enjoying some soft lo fi from the headphones we’d decided to share. “Yo, todoroki-kun.” I mumbled as Tsu and Kaminari started trashing on Blasty’s anger issues.
“Hnng?” Todo’s head leaned against my shoulder as we hit a bump.
Oh shit, he’s sleeping. My bad.
I carefully slipped my headphone into his ear to drown out the loud mouths around me.
“Kai’s would make a good hero. I think she’d be really popular too, though I’m not sure what exactly her quirk is.” Tsu pointed out.
The whole class turned to where Todoroki-kun and I sat.
“Hmng?” I pulled the Dwindling lolly out of my mouth. “Don’t look at me. I want none of that paparazzi bullshit. Media gets in the way and they’re annoying as hell.”
“Oh right. I remember seeing you punch out the pervert reporter that was following you on the news. It was during the sludge villain attack, right?” Ochako stated way too cheerily.
Jirou’s eyes lit up as she looked at me over the back of her seat, “That was you!? I didn’t realize because you didn’t have your ears out. Mad respect! You went viral on Youtube. There’s a whole compilation of the event.”
“I wanna see!” Kami and Mina yelled at the same time.
My eyes rolled to the back of my head and I popped my candy back into my mouth to distract myself.
Jirou pulled it up on her phone as the whole class, aside from Izuku, Katsu, Shoto, and I, crowded around to see.
I heard the fight scene going on before it cut to the clean up.
“Woah, that kick was amazing!”
“Was he poking your boobs! Pervert!”
“Alright, that’s it.” My voice came out of the phone speaker, “EVERYONE LOOK OVER HERE, I NEED WITNESSES.”
My classmates ‘Ohhh’ed as they watched me deck the reporter in his ugly face. “HOW’S THAT FOR A FUCKING STATEMENT, JACKASS.”
I heard the video cut to me talking to Mei, “That was so cool Miss!” Just as my phone buzzed.
